    Hi there,

I have the Advanced Google Recaptcha plugin enabled on my website, thus I have a seperate key created for the SiteOrigins Widget bundle contactform. I am not sure if this is the issue, but when I have recaptcha enabled I am not able to submit the form 95% of the time, it will say that there is an issue with the recaptcha key. At random moments I do succeed.

    Can you please help?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi, thanks for posting your question. I’m unfortunately not sure what the issue is. You can perhaps try using the same Google key for both plugins and then test to see if that changes the deliverability behavior.

    Hi Andrew,

I already did that but than it did not work at all.
Any suggestions as to how to resolve this?

    Thanks for the update.

WP Mail Logging might be helpful to add for now.

If you open a private browsing window and attempt to reset your WP password, does the password reset email always arrive?

    Hi Andrew,

The issue is not with emails, they arrive. Recaptcha is working fine on all other forms. The issue is with the siteorigins widgets bundle contact form, with recaptcha v3 enabled, is not working. using the same key will result in the form submit button not working and using a seperate key will result in it saying (95% of time) that the recaptcha is failed and i am considered spam.

I just confirmed and the recaptcha option in the form is interfering with the google advanced recaptcha plugin. When disabling the recaptcha plugin, the issue is gone. I’m surprised I am the first user encountering this. Is this something that can be fixed with a next release?

    Hi,

I’m having trouble replicating this result. Are you using the premium version of Advanced Google reCAPTCHA, or the base version? Can you please provide me with a test form submission that’s getting flagged? This will allow me to test using data that has been rejected.

    Kind regards,
    Alex

    Hi there,

I am a base/free user as it is a personal hobby website and not a professional one.

How would I share with you test form submission? How would I extract this data?

    Hi,

    Thank you for confirming.

Sorry, by test submission I mean the data you’re inputting into the contact form. In other words, what values are you inputting into the contact form to test for this issue? For example, if I was testing using a contact form with four fields, the test data would be:

    Name: Alex
Email: [email protected] (this ideally should be a valid email)
    Subject: Test
    Message: Test Message

    Kind regards,
    Alex

    Hi Alex,

    Happy new year !

it does not really matter what you put in, almost each message is considered spam. But only when the regular recaptcha plugin is active as well which makes me assume it is rather a plugin conflict.

Hi, Happy New Year to you too!

If possible, please re-enable the Advanced Google reCAPTCHA plugin. I’ll ask Alex to take a look when he’s on next to see if he can spot anything helpful.

Ah, Alex yes, very nice and helpful guy! 🙂

I re-enabled it. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    Happy new year! 🙂

Thanks. I was able to replicate this result on your website. I didn’t notice any direct errors, but there was mention of partitioned cookie or storage access. That could be related to the underlying issue, but I don’t think it is as both validation efforts should be going through the same server. Hm. Oh. I think I’ve spotted what’s going on. We attempt to reuse any existing reCAPTCHA code and that could be interfering here. I’ve prepared a build of Widgets Bundle that doesn’t do that, and you can download that build here.

    Before proceeding, do a backup.

Navigate to Plugins > Installed Plugins and deactivate SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle, and then delete it. Scroll to the top of the page, and click Add New, Upload Plugin. Upload so-widgets-bundle.1.64.3-beta.zip and when prompted, activate it. Clear any performance caches, and your browser cache. Does this issue occur?

    Kind regards,
    Alex

    Hi Alex,

Yes!! It now works smoothly! Thank you very much for the fix.

I was able to use both my same key as the new key, so I choose to stuck with the same key as the rest of the site.

With a next release, this fix won’t go away right?

Just one more thing, I now have all these errorlogs:

[02-Jan-2025 10:56:54 UTC] PHP Warning: Undefined array key “weight_raw” in /home/mydomain/public_html/wp-content/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/widgets/contact/contact.php on line 1244

    Hi,

It’s great to hear that helped. I’ll finalize the changes and submit it to the rest of the team for inclusion in a future update. If it’s not present in the next release, I’ll send you an updated patch.

Thank you for reporting the warnings. Those are unrelated to this change. They’ll be resolved shortly too.

    Kind regards,
    Alex
