Issue with AMP Indexing in Google Search Console:
-
Hello,I am experiencing several issues with the AMP extension on my WordPress site. In Google Search Console, I am getting the following errors for multiple pages specifically when I create a new article and attempt to index it manually :
- “Page retrieval: Failed – Server connection error”.
- “Unable to index the AMP version: Anomaly during crawling”.
Here is what I have tested so far:
- Contacted my hosting provider (OVH): They confirmed that there are no incidents on their side.
- Deactivated security extensions (Akismet and Wordfence): No improvement observed.
- Deactivated extensions one by one: The issue was resolved only when I deactivated the AMP extension.
- Search Console: The live test for the AMP URL consistently fails with the same errors as long as the extension is active.
I would like to know:
- Which specific settings in the AMP extension could cause these errors?
- Are there any recent updates that could be responsible for this issue?
- What steps would you recommend to resolve these problems while keeping the AMP extension active?
Thank you in advance for your help! 😊
