Incorrect layout of navigation menu?
-
I can’t link the site because it’s local to my laptop, but here’s a link to a capture.
My navigation menu is being rendered out of correct alignment/flow, in both Safari and Firefox, rather than being top aligned with the blog name.
I’m on the current WordPress install (5.7.1), no plugins, no themes except what came with the install and Spearhead (which, obv. brings with it Seedlet).
Any ideas?
ETA:
I notice now the browser kicking up 404s on
seedlet/style.css.map
,spearhead/navigation.css.map
,spearhead/style.css.map
, andseedlet/print.css.map

Hi there,
Please download the latest version of the theme from the bottom of that page:
https://wordpress.com/theme/spearhead
You most likely have version 1.2.5 and on WordPress.com there’s an updated one (1.3.2).
Oh weird. Will that have a later impact on updating through the admin interface as normal? (Is it typical for self-install downloads on the .com page to be that far ahead of what’s available on the .org?)
Oh, hell. Never mind. I see it’s literally treated as a separate theme. (How do people know to update self-installed themes downloaded from the .com theme page, though?)

Normally the versions should be in sync, but it looks like there might have been a delay in porting the updated version of the theme to the WordPress.org theme repository.

If you install the theme via Jetpack, which we recommend, that plugin will automatically keep the theme up to date. Aside from that there’s no way to be notified if the version on WordPress.com’s end is updated to a new version.

I don’t think that will cause any problems.
