get_the_title returns empty string

    I’m working on some custom tracking code for a site that logs individual page visits for users, and in doing so user the WP function get_the_title(). However, this returns blank for any page where the Hide Titles plugin is active. Since the implementation of Hide Titles was for design rather than security, is there any way to prevent this behavior?
