Hello
Is there any update regarding this as I get it too. I also run WP Supercache but turned that off based on this thread, but sadly that had no effect. But that said, in another thread I read the problem was related the version of jQuery (the WP default is 1.2) which fires the plugin’s all important Ajax script, but having changed jQuery to v2.0 it still has no effect. The Accept button remains no matter how often you press it. I would be very interested to have a response on this from the plugin makers, as this must be a commonly encountered bug with this plugin.

I just got back from vacation.
From what I see @wci got it fixed. I just tried it on the website from his screenshot.
Did you figure out what was wrong? Something you might share? It may help @artdivision.
Also, if you can, share links so I can check the console for errors.
Marking as resolved since the OP has clearly fixed it on his end.
Hello Ferdnando
If you can check my site in the console, that would be appreciated: https://artdivision.co.uk/
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I just checked yours and it seems to work too. I clicked I agree, the page refreshed and everything looks good.
Hello Fernando
Can I ask if you were logged into WordPress (although not the site, but wordpress.org) because bizarrely it does work when logged into WordPress, but not if you are not. Can you log out, and try it again? I bet then Accept won’t refresh the page nor disappear.
Allen
Now it doesn’t work for me, logged in or out of .org.
Since it worked last time I tried but it doesn’t work now, I can only assume that this is due to caching.
Cache is serving an expired security token
Hello
I have removed the caching plugin now, or do you mean browser cache? Which means it should work. Does it work for you. Do you know the extension of the script, so I can exclude it from getting cached, if that is what’s causing the problem?

Thanks so much for your help.

Hi Fernando
Hi artdivision,
for me it is still the same issue that while using the following cache systems (autoptimize, wp supercache and cloudflare) while clicking on accept button the loading of site starts but without the effect of accepted.
If cache is de-activated it works. So I guess it has to do with the cache but unsure where, how to find out and how to solve.
Best, Alex

Hi again,
I still not be able to use the GDPR plugin properly.
After clicking on “I agree” the cookie warning does not go away or takes extremely long for its acceptance. Screenshot – https://www.screencast.com/t/ijOjqbJsC
Then I got an “Error – We could not verify the the security token. Please try again.” displayed. Screenshot – https://www.screencast.com/t/lhvGp44EMt
I am using wp super cache and autoptimize and cloudflare as cache plugins. Maybe I have to exclude the GDPR java scripts from autoptimize. Which would you suggest to exclude?
Best, Alex
This is a known issue.
I’m working on a fix.
I have the same issue.
I hope it helps to let you know that I can only click the “agree” button and activate it from my IP, any other IP’s cannot click this.
Hello
For me, the fix was to add the Allow CORS header in my HTACCESS file as it was not able to grab the security token. you can check this in the Console of your browser’s Inspect Element. It might not the be case for you, but it was for me and maybe this will help you.
