‘Follow’ button and readers number button customisation

What are you trying to accomplish? Are you trying to customize how Twitter’s follow button displays the number of accounts following the specified account in ways not supported in Twitter’s button configurations?

The Twitter follow button supports display of follower count; it is displayed by default. The Twitter follow button does not allow customization.

The Twitter plugin for WordPress displays the official follow button and its options. Your requested customization is not a feature of the Twitter follow button. If you have feedback about the button you can leave a comment on Twitter’s forums.

Putting a follow button above a follower count is not a supported layout of Twitter’s follow button.
