Flagged by Godaddy for malware

    I have this plugin on a few of my sites and received an email from Godaddy saying the following contains possible malware

    wp-content/plugins/php-compatibility-checker/src/js/handlebars.js

    upon inspection of that file it does not look like it has been changed recently. Is this plugin safe to run and does anyone have any insights? thanks.

    Hi,

    I can assure you that this plugin is not distributing Malware, but it is possible your site may have been compromised. An attacker could be hiding code in that plugin folder. My recommendation would be to promptly update to the latest version, which would override any changes made by a bad actor.

    I’ve reached out to the Head of Security over at GoDaddy, and he also suspects that this is a problem with your particular instance and is not likely the result of the plugin. He recommended to reach out to GoDaddy’s support to further investigate. Good luck!
