    WordPress Version 6.7.2

Content Views Version 4.1, Last updated 9 hours ago

I’m using the grid post block. Everything was working great until this last update.

The blocks are still showing on the front end. However, now when editing a page with the block on it, the block shows “Error loading block: Invalid parameter(s): attributes“.

I’ve tried editing the block, and the only thing that looks odd to me is in the Query / Offset field has either a blank or a -1. I don’t use this field, so I don’t know the default value, but changing it to any value other than how it loads results in “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.” and I can no longer edit it.

    Thank you for contacting us.
    We’re sorry for this issue.

We suspect there is conflict with another Block plugin on your website.

Are you using other Block plugins?

Please deactivate other Block plugins one by one temporarily to see which plugin might cause this conflict.
Then we can work to resolve this conflict.

Thanks. It seems to be Admin Menu Editor Pro, version 2.26.1 that’s conflicting. I’ve now reached out to their support as well.

Any thoughts you might have on the conflict and resolving it would be greatly appreciated. :0)

Just to update, after doing some checking for errors: I’m not getting any errors logged to the debug.log and I have debug turned on in wp-config and am also using the Error Log Monitoring plugin. Not terribly helpful, sorry.

Please let me know if there are other things I can try and report back.

    Thank you for your update.
As we don’t have their Pro version, we tested with the free Admin Menu Editor but there are no errors occur with our blocks.
If you receive any response from their support that relates to our plugin, please inform us.

Thanks. The Admin Menu Editor provided a possibility to change in their plugin settings. It worked, yay! I’m not using that particular feature in the website in question, so it matters little to me at this time ot have that feature turned off. I’ll add the info here in case it helps anyone else, and/or can help get the conflict worked out. :0)

“I suspect that this could be related to the “Navigation Menu Visibility”
feature in Admin Menu Editor Pro. It’s the one that lets you hide
individual navigation menus from roles (in the “Nav Menus” tab).

To make this feature work with block-based navigation menus, AME Pro
adds a custom “ameNavMenuVisibility” attribute to existing block types.
Maybe Content Views doesn’t expect its blocks to have any third-party
attributes, or any attributes at all?

If you’re not using AME Pro to hide navigation menus, you might be able
to fix the error by turning off that feature entirely. To do that, go to
the “Settings” tab, scroll down to the “Modules” section, and uncheck
the “Navigation Menu Visibility” option. Then save the settings.”
