Could you tell me what went wrong? What did not work exactly?
the site map was an empty file all the time whatever changed in setting.
Sometimes the sitemap can appear empty because of a stylesheet access issue. The source code, which is read by search engines, is still there. To make sure, use Ctrl+U to see the source code or a xml sitemap validator to scan the content.
Send me a link to your sitemap, I’ll take a look for you.
If the source code is empty, then there is a fatal error happening somewhere. This might be harder to debug but I can help you with instructions…
