@bulldogdigital I tried replicating the isssue with GeneratePress theme activated, but was not able to. When I disable comments for posts, the comment box is not shown both on logged-in view (as a user) or when viewing as a public visitor.
I’m marking this issue as resolved for now. I’ll keep monitoring if other users are reporting a similar issue. Thank you for reporting!

Hi, disable comments feature also not working here with Astra Theme. If you can, please check on your side, at least with most used themes and page builders (elementor)
