cdata in product URL

    Dear Rextheme,

    In the XML feed, product URLs are wrapped in <![CDATA[ ]]>. I’d like to remove these CDATA tags from the URLs, but the “Output filter” dropdowns don’t seem to have any effect. How can I fix this?

    Thanks for reaching out!

    Just to clarify, for which merchant are you creating the feed? If it’s for Google Merchant Center, then wrapping product URLs in <![CDATA[ ]]> is standard practice to ensure special characters don’t break the XML structure.

    However, if you’d prefer to remove the CDATA tags, you can create the feed using the Custom Merchant option. This will give you full control over the feed output, including how URLs are rendered.
