Hi @yoppvoice
The issue you are describing happens when a site owner tries testing a form repeatedly with the same email address. Even if they manually remove the email address, Mailchimp will flag it and not let it be used again.
If a user comes to your site, tries to subscribe and for some reason they didn’t get added to your list they will not have a problem subscribing once your form is fixed.
Thank you.

I’m sorry, I’m not understanding the distinction.
If I tried to use the subscribe form with an email address, got the immediate message to look for my confirmation email, and no confirmation email arrives, I’ve discovered a problem. I fix the problem and try again with the same email address. In yosipsverko’s post, they said that when they did this with the same email address used to attempt before, that had failed last time, it still did not work. And it wasn’t until they used a different email address that the fix was shown to work.
What’s the difference between “testing a form repeatedly” and someone trying multiple times to subscribe to the site?
For clarity, I’m referencing this post: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/the-subscription-form-does-not-send-the-first-confirmation-message/

Hi @yoppvoice
You should continue this conversation with Mailchimp, because we don’t have control over how they handle subscriptions.
Thank you.

But this isn’t a subscription problem, this is a form submission problem.
Process:
-I input an email address that I’ve never attempted to add to my email list before, into the Mailchimp subscribe form on my WordPress website, created by your plug-in.
-I get the immediate “successfully submitted” message on the screen above the form, and instructions to look for my validation email.
-No validation email ever arrives.
-I look for current support threads on the same topic and find yosipsverko’s post.
-I follow the instructions you laid out in yosipsverko’s post to delete and create a new subscribe form on my WordPress website.
-I test with a new email address to make sure it works, and it does
-I test with the email address I used in the first place, which has never been on the mailing list, and it does not work. No confirmation email is ever sent even though I’m still getting the message pop up on the screen to look for a validation email immediately after submitting your form.
In yosipsverko’s post, you said that if an email had been used to test the form prior to fixing the form, it would not work after fixing the form, which is the same behavior I saw demonstrated with my form. I’m asking what makes that scenario different from someone who tried to subscribe before I fixed the form, and then tried to use the form again after I fixed the form?
