Will Krisgoat remain Goatlings owner?
Krisgoat will be stepping away from Goatlings entirely. However, transfer of ownership and rights takes time. So things might not reflect this right away as Goatlings transitions to new management. This is a lengthy process so please be kind during this time.

What are all the new admin names the same?
Goatling's is now under the management of a team and we wanted fun names to reflect that! While our names are purposely very similar, they are not the same. We will be responsible for Goatlings in the future and we want to keep things light hearted and positive while creating a safe space for members and staff alike!

Why are the new admin accounts brand new?
We decided new accounts were best for privacy. All admins and staff going forward will join Goatlings as new accounts. Things might be a bit confusing at the moment, but we are working to make a better future for Goatlings.

Why were the introduction posts about new staff so vague and locked?
In an effort to have some transparency on this question, Goatlings staff, new and former, have noticed the increase of bullying, fighting, and targeted harassment towards not only members, but current and former staff on and off site. This has caused privacy and safety concerns. Moving forward staff will continue this level of privacy and anonymity. We decided to lock the news post as we are working behind the scenes and getting acclimated. We understand there was not much information in the news post. We are still adjusting to our new roles and more information will come with time. We thank you for your patience in this matter!

Who is the new admin team?
We are Blooper, Glooper, and Mlooper! Three admins that are passionate about making Goatlings a safer and better site! We will be making decisions and running the site together. All of the staff will only be sharing information relevant to Goatlings and the administrative roles we will be taking. We apologize for any concern this may cause.

Will you be sharing any social media, past employment or personal information?
No. As stated above, due to concerns with the safety and the care for mental health of our admin team, we will not be sharing intricate details of our separate personal or professional lives outside of Goatlings. We are sorry if this causes some members stress. Information about our employment experience, pronouns, and small things might be shared if staff members are comfortable, but are not crucial to running the site. We have been made aware of and seen harassment against staff and to prevent this from reoccuring, we are taking preventative measures in this form. Again, moving forward, staff will continue this level of privacy and anonymity. It is non-negotiable and repeated prying for information will result in consequences in the form of restricted access to Live Chat or Forums.

Will the admin team be involved with the community moving forward?
Staff will be keeping things professional, but may choose to play on Goatlings.com on their own time. However, admins will remain just admins, helping the community to flourish and thrive beside the scenes! This to ensure the privacy and safety of all staff members.

Why is the Goatlings Paypal still linked to Krisgoat?
As stated above transfer of ownership and rights takes time. So things might not reflect the new changes right away. We ask that members please be patient with us while we make these changes. All financials are being monitored while this transfer process happens. No Goatlings funds are being used or taken from these financial accounts.

Why are the new admins tasked with the duties stated in the new management news post?
Each admin brings their own strengths and skills to the team! We are currently a smaller staff and will be taking on multiple roles while we make things ready for more site staff to join us! We will be doing our best to apply our knowledge and strengths where we can.

How come there was no announcement for new art staff?
This will be addressed at a later time in the Dev Log. We are currently making plans about artist staff and payments and will let members know as we have more details. Lots of things are in the works and we are excited!

Why is registration still closed?
Registration is closed and will remain closed while our team of admins adjust to our roles and catch up with things that need to happen on the site. We will let members know when registration will be open as soon as we can. We will be getting things ready for new members to join and ask for your patience while we go through this process.

What is your policy on transparency?
We know transparency is important to Goatlings members. We will be doing our best to provide transparency where it is appropriate. This does not include staff or member identities or details. Members who do not respect the privacy of current and former staff and other members will face consequences that may result in an immediate ban without warning.

Will the Discord be closing and if so when and why?
As of December 2025 the Discord will be closing permanently. Due to the smaller amount of staff and known security and safety issues with the discord in the past, we will be deleting the Discord at the beginning of 2026. Please make sure to save any memories you would like to keep before it is closed!

Will bans be revoked or undone?
After reviewing the TOS of the site that is already in place, we have made the decision to uphold the bans that are currently in effect. We understand that some members might feel like they were wronged or it was unwarranted, however these bans were given out for a reason. We are committed to enforcing a zero tolerance policy for TOS violations and will be updating the TOS already in place to make sure these rules are clearer.

Why do staff not make ban reasons public?
Members who are banned are given a reason for their ban in a notification. This reason will not be made public to other members. We must keep the privacy and safety of members in mind, so this will continue to remain the policy with no change. Admins exercise the judgement to enact appropriate consequences to members who violate the TOS.

Will there be updates or changes to TOS?
The TOS is always open for improvements and changes as needed. If there are changes in the TOS a post in the Dev log will notify all members of these changes.

Will there be clearer rules for Live Chat?
Basic online etiquette and TOS apply to Live Chat and will be enforced. There might be some changes to TOS as needed, but members will be made aware in a Dev post.

Are there any plans or updates planned for Goatlings soon?
In 2026 we will be working with staff and our programmer to improve site functions while providing a more consistent experience for members. More news about updates coming soon!

Will the aesthetic of Goaltings change?
No, we love the aesthetic of Goatlings and will not be making any changes to how Goatlings.com looks.

Will Goatlings' events and traditions remain the same?
Most events and traditions will remain the same. However, staff will be taking the time to adjust these things to make it easier on the smaller team.

What are management’s goals for the site?
Management has quite a few goals in mind! We want to keep the site running and open for those who wish to play. We want to make everything more consistent and bug free while keeping things simplistic and easy to understand in a stress free, safe, and positive environment.

Do you have a roadmap of what might be happening soon on the site?
The team will be using 2026 to assess all events and features to make things run more smoothly. That being said, updates and events will be low while we take the time to do this. But we expect in 2027 to return to bigger events and updates depending on site health and staff size.

Are there current plans for site funding?
The Diamond Dust shop and revival of some retired items will continue to be the main source of funding for Goatlings at this current time.

Will Goatlings allow ads to secure funding in the future?
We will be looking into other alternatives to funding but those decisions will be made at a later date. We will keep members updated as we know more.

Due to blatant harassment of members and staff, and continued inappropriate behavior, we as the new Admins of Goatlings.com have decided to move on from this endeavor. We had hoped to revive Goatlings.com and improve playability, but certain members have made that an impossible task. Due to threats of continued harassment and hacking* into the website to steal personal member information, Goatlings.com will be officially closed by the end of the year.

*Hacking refers to former moderators leaking emails, ips, and birthdays of staff and members. This information was not allowed to be accessible. To improve security, former moderator access points have been renamed, moved, and reset again.

Goatlings.com will temporarily reopen on December 23rd 2025 for members to take screen shots of their Goatlings, and to preserve any memories and contacts they would like to keep, and will remain open up until December 31st, as long as it is safe to do so.

Diamond Dust purchases from December 2025 are in the process of being refunded.

Site code will not be sold or passed on to other parties. Some item assets may be repurposed on other virtual pet websites. More information will be available later.

100% of personal information (such as emails, ips, and birthdays) will be removed and will not be traceable when the site is officially closed.
