VMware GSX Server is a legacy, hosted server virtualization platform developed by VMware, Inc. It installs on top of a Windows or Linux operating system and enables multiple isolated virtual machines to run simultaneously on a single x86 server. Designed for server consolidation, test and development environments, and legacy application support, GSX Server offers remote console access and administrative tools to provision and manage VMs without requiring a bare-metal hypervisor. The product has been discontinued and was succeeded by VMware Server and, later, the VMware vSphere/ESXi platform.
VMware GSX Server is developed by VMware, Inc.. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2. The name of the program executable file is vmware.exe. Works with vmx, xvm, vmdk and vmsn file types.
