\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\tOn Monday night\u2019s episode of \u201cThe Daily Show,\u201d Jon Stewart slammed President Donald Trump for walking out of his recent \u201cMeet the Press\u201d interview in the face of relentless fact-checking from interviewer Kristen Welker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\t\u201cNow, you could view this as the hissy-fit of an incredibly fragile man-baby, whose paper-thin skin can’t handle venturing out of the sycophantic embrace of his tongue-bathing acolytes,\u201d Stewart said. \u201cOr, actually, I don’t know how else you can view it. It really is just that. It is sad. It’s very sad.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\tTensions began bubbling over during Trump\u2019s \u201cMeet the Press\u201d interview when Welker pressed the President on whether he planned to push forward with his controversial $1.8 billion \u201canti-weaponization\u201d fund meant to protect individuals who claimed to be persecuted by the federal government, including those who raided the Capitol on Jan. 6. Trump said those involved witht the riot had \u201clost everything\u201d in the aftermath, and on the day, \u201cthey had FBI agents ushering them into the building.\u201d Welker pushed back on the latter claim, telling Trump he had \u201cno evidence of that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\t\u201cI don\u2019t know what\u2019s going to happen with the weaponization fund,\u201d Trump said to Welker. \u201cI love the idea, because people like you, the fake dirty press, the crooked press, people like stupid Biden, he\u2019s not smart enough to know what\u2019s going on, but people that surrounded him, surrounded his beautiful Resolute Desk in the Oval Office, what they did to the lives of people, they destroyed people. They sent people to jail who did nothing wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\tThe conversation then drifted to the 2020 presidential election, which Trump called \u201crigged.\u201d He also made allegations of fraud in the California election system. At every turn, Welker repeatedly fact-checked Trump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\tEventually, Trump had enough. He told Welker before storming off, \u201cYou\u2019re a one-sided crooked network. Sorry.
