Fernández Espeso has been a trailblazer for female leaders in Western Europe since she entered the C-suite of Spain’s The Mediapro Studio. She has also focused on lifting up female talent, setting production pacts with Penelope Cruz and other notables. Fernández Espeso has expanded Mediapro’s pipeline to encompass 30 production houses that help the company capitalize on the growing demand for TV series that can travel across the world. Fernández Espeso has steered the effort for The Mediapro Studio to make its productions more saleable by lensing in English. She has also sought to increase diversity in every aspect of Mediapro operations by recruiting from outside of Spain. Fernández Espeso worked in independent film early in her career before shifting into executive management.
