Client
As a service-oriented civil rights organization, the Urban League of Greater Atlanta has been helping clients build economic strength for more than 100 years. Whether your goal relates to workforce/career advancement, homeownership, entrepreneurship, reentry, advocacy, or more, we tailor our programs to meet your needs.
Partner
The League’s name reflects the reason for our historical success: We work in partnership, in league, with the leaders in the business, community, and public and private sectors, and individuals – all committed to the same goal of empowering previously marginalized communities to grow and thrive.
Events
To serve the widest audiences possible, the League offers in-person and virtual classes, seminars, certifications, conferences, and other events throughout the year. We also believe in celebrating the successes of our clients and recognizing the contributions of partners through our signature events.
Emergency Assistance
The COVID-19 pandemic dramatically exacerbated the economic disparities in our region and increased the levels of evictions and joblessness. The League met the need by adding an Emergency Response component to our Financial Empowerment and Economic Resilience Center (FEERC) offering temporary financial help to allow individuals and families to avoid eviction and re-gain employment.
Join ULGA and our homeownership partners for an empowering workshop designed to equip individuals and families with the resources, tools, and services needed to achieve homeownership. Open to participants ages 18 and older. *Participants who finish the course will be awarded a certificate of completion that qualifies them for down payment assistance.*
The FEERC
Financial Empowerment and Economic Resilience Center (FEERC) is a one-stop center where individuals and families gain access to wrap around services and tailored plans to reach their goals. Youth, adults, families, entrepreneurs, returning citizens, seniors, and others select the guidance they need to thrive. Attend one of our weekly FEERC Orientation sessions to learn more.
As part of our commitment to advocate for the civil rights, health, and well-being of all citizens, we released a comprehensive, fact-based report in 2023 that details the status of Georgia’s Black population. Our inaugural State of Black Georgia report also presents solutions to end the ongoing disparities that diminish us all.
