Dates and deadlines

• as soon as possible - visa application/travel authorizations (request an invitation letter)
• April 3, 2026 - bursary application (financial assistance) deadline.
• April 24 - deadline for early bird registration discount. Early registrations are greatly appreciated!
• April 24 - deadline for abstracts for presentation proposals. Remote presentations are welcome.
• June 12 - deadline for preprints (submit PDF) to be in the printed program.
• June 16 - deadline for hotel reservations at the Alt Hotel. Booking your hotel room early is highly advisable. Availability and rates are not guaranteed afterwards.
• July 8 - deadline for uploading all slides and videos, for all speakers.
• July 16, 14:00-17:00 - LaTeX developers' workshop: Tagged and Accessible PDF Documents. More info on workshop page.
• July 16, 17:00-19:00 - opening reception and registration, Alt Hotel.
• July 17-19 - TUG conference, Friday–Sunday. The TUG Annual General Meeting will take place during the conference.
• July 26 - deadline for final papers for the printed TUGboat proceedings.

Venue

The conference will be held in the Indigo Room of the Alt Hotel Calgary East Village, in Calgary.

The airport is the Calgary International Airport, airport code YYC. Details: travel options from/to the airport and local visitor information.

Online participation

This is primarily an in-person conference, but the talks will be streamed live on the TUG YouTube Channel, with no charge or required registration. The channel will be monitored during the conference for questions or comments to relay to the speakers.

Hotel

TUG conference participants can book online at the Alt Hotel Calgary East Village. Rooms are available to our group at a discounted rate for the period of July 14–22, 2026.

The conference program will take place at this hotel. Please do stay here if at all possible, both for your convenience and to help TUG and the conference.

Meals

• The opening reception will be at the hotel, Thursday July 16, 17:00-19:00.
• Breakfast is not included with the hotel reservation, but available at the hotel.
• Lunches and breaks will be provided during the conference, July 17-19, at no additional charge beyond the registration fee.
• Dinners are not included with the conference registration or hotel reservation, but are available at the hotel and restaurants nearby. See the food section on the local information page for some ideas.
• We'll have a banquet on Saturday or Sunday evening, location tbd.
