*Due to time restrictions, it is not possible to provide North California students transportation to the in-person conference. However, they are encouraged to attend the online seminar.
The online seminar will include small icebreakers, the college prep workshops, and a financial aid workshop. Attendance to the online seminar is mandatory for Southern California students who plan to attend the in-person conference the following week. In regards to the in-person conference, you will have the opportunity to gain mentorship from current UCSB students, reflect deeply on your identities within and beyond your cultural communities, and explore the possibilities of post-secondary education.
We seek motivated high school students with diverse experiences and backgrounds and do not take into account grades/GPA. **Applicants from all backgrounds and ethnicities are encouraged to apply; the application is also open to ALL grade levels in high school.**
Optional: Scholarship Opportunity
We are also offering two $200 scholarships. Students who complete the optional essay prompts at the end will be considered for these scholarships. *Recipients of this scholarship must attend both the online and in-person conference.
If you have any other questions or concerns about our program, please do not hesitate to contact the outreach coordinators: Lynn Hang (lynnhang@ucsb.edu), Kendrick Le (kendrickle@ucsb.edu), Claire Luong (claireluong@ucsb.edu), and Justin Du (justindu@ucsb.edu).
The DEADLINE is March 15, 2026 at 11:59pm. Due to limited space, applicants will be carefully considered, so please ensure your application is fully completed.
