Harm Reduction Expansion Project - Request Form
The Berkeley Harm Reduction Expansion Project is a project spearheaded by UC Berkeley students in partnership with UHS-PartySafe@Cal, the collegiate recovery program Recovery at Cal, and FentCheck, a community-based harm reduction non-profit organization. The inspiration for this project comes from the necessity to help our UC Berkeley community:
  • Gain a better understanding of the range of risks associated with substance use including the increasing risk of accidental fentanyl overdoses due to unknown fentanyl contamination in substances
  • Advocate for harm reduction on campus to promote education, reduce stigma, normalize safer practices, and save lives!
If you represent a campus affiliated and/or registered student organization and are interested in acquiring harm reduction training and resources (e.g. Fentanyl Test Strips and Naloxone) for your organization, please complete and submit this request form. Staff and campus partners can also use this form to request a restock of their FTS site.

We provide CalGreeks, Co-ops, Res Halls, and other organizations with a physical space (such as a house or office) with HREP starter kits that include emergency Naloxone and/or fentanyl test strips. Student groups, staff, faculty, and other campus organizations without a dedicated space can still participate in harm reduction training and receive personal harm reduction supplies.

Important Note: It is a violation of University policy to manufacture, distribute, dispense, possess, use, or sell, or attempt to manufacture, distribute, dispense, use, or sell, controlled substances identified in federal and state law or regulations. HOWEVER ***Interest in and/or purchasing/possession of FTS or Naloxone IS NOT a violation of University policy.***
