Ha Long Bay: Where Nature Meets Beauty and Grandeur
Hi friends! Welcome to the 4th edition of our family travels blog, where we share snapshots of our previous travels. Back in May, we spent three weeks in Vietnam (see previous posts), and part of that was visiting Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO world heritage site, famous for its islets and islands. In other words, a huge tourist spot. And after visiting it, I totally understand why. Ha Long Bay is natural beauty at its finest. We've seen some beautiful things in our lives here in America, but nothing prepared us for the majestic boulders, tall and grand, that greeted us upon arrival. As mentioned in a previous post, we'd booked a 4-day private tour to Hanoi, and part of that was visiting Ha Long Bay. Thus, the day after we arrived in Hanoi (flew in from Ho Chi Minh City), we were dropped off by our tour guide for an overnight cruise along the Bay. This is something that I cannot recommend enough.
