Jio Platforms Q2 net profit up 12.8% on higher data usage, strong subscriber addition

During the second quarter, Jio gained 8.3 million users – higher than analysts’ expectation of around 7 million – boosting its overall base to 506.4 million. The telco continued to gain users from financially stressed Vodafone Idea and state-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL).
