About the challenge
Welcome to the Bridging The Gap Hackathon, a virtual event dedicated to tech enthusiasts aged 13-21 years old and members of under-resourced communities. This exciting week-long hackathon, taking place from July 20-27, 2024, is designed to foster innovation, collaboration, and skill development in computer science and public speaking.
Requirements
WHAT TO CREATE
Your project should focus on enhancing access to technology, improving digital literacy, creating tools that facilitate learning for under-resourced communities, or any other approach you believe bridges the gap.
WHAT TO SUBMIT
- Project Description: an explanation of your project, its purpose, and how it addresses the hackathon prompt.
- Presentation: A slides presentation or 2-minute video outlining your project, its impact, and how it meets the hackathon objectives.
- Code Repository: A link to your code repository(GitHub) with instructions on how to set up and run your project

Social Impact
Does the project have the potential for a positive impact on the target community? Does it align with the theme of bridging the technology gap? -
Presentation
How clear and effective was the project presentation? Was the team able to communicate ideas and solutions effectively? -
Commercial Viability
Does the project demonstrate commercial viability and economic value? How unique is the business model, and has the team planned a feasible route to market? -
Design & Implementation
Does the project work as intended and is it implementable? Has the team considered UI/UX for a user-friendly experience, keeping human interaction in mind?
