First off, you don't get to decide what is Star Trek and what is not Star Trek.
Second, that analogy about it being the force is broken as hell and I have some duct tape and a hyperspanner to fix it if you want.
Third, you look at this post seeing the actors striking and your ***FIRST*** thought and reaction is to go "Oh I know! I'm going to instead shit on the show and insult it while literally ignoring every single part of the post talking about representation.
You can not like the show all you want. That's fine. There are plenty of shows I don't like. But you don't get to decide what's canon and it's also pretty insanely tone deaf to insult the shit out of the show, the actor, and gatekeep Star Trek considering Trek stands for shit like inclusion and different representation and different spectrums and different sides.
This kind of behavior is just kinda gross in general but especially nasty when you consider what Trek is about.
