Join Us For Our Spring Musical Theatre Performance
“Broadway Baby”
Saturday 6/13/26
Zohar Dance Studio
Cubberley Community Center Palo Alto
Our performances are designed to be joyful, confidence-building experiences—not stressful productions. Many children perform on stage for the very first time, supported by teachers every step of the way. Families consistently tell us how proud they are watching their child grow in confidence.
Frequently Asked Questions
My dancer has never been on stage before. What can I expect?
Our performances are a wonderful, stress-free way to introduce your dancer to theatre and stage. The experience will build their confidence and give them a better understanding of what to expect as they progress to older programs. The dancers will be lead by up to 5 teachers on stage, and will always have someone close by to help. While every dancer will react differently to being on stage, the majority of the kids (and parents) have a great experience.
How long are the performances?
Each performance lasts about 30 minutes.
How many dancers are on stage at once?
We allow a maximum of 22 dancers on stage per showtime.
Are there extra rehearsals outside of class?
No. All preparations for the performance will happen in class. Your dancer is not expected to memorize the dances but it does help to practice at home. They will follow along with the teachers on stage.
Please note participating in the show is optional, but very fun!
PERFORMANCE PATCHES
Every performance tells a story—and each one earns our dancers a custom-designed patch that captures the theme and spirit of that season. These colorful keepsakes are proudly displayed on dance bags and backpacks, reminding our dancers of how far they’ve come. A dancer who begins at age 2 could collect a full set of 10 patches, marking each special milestone along their Small Fry journey. Below are some examples from past performances.
We’ll release the performance patch for this round soon! Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook!
