About Gaurav Joshi
With a background in publishing and digital media, Gaurav likes to combine his love for aviation with his fondness for storytelling. He's a keen observer of ever-changing aviation trends around the world and particularly in India. Gaurav also keeps a close eye on the fleet development of all major carriers and their subsequent impact on regional and international routes. Based in New Delhi, India.
Why do you love aviation?
It amazes me every day that these wonderful flying machines with sleek aerodynamic shapes can lift off and carry us from one destination to another. While most people get over this fact quickly, I’ve never managed to outgrow it.
What is your favourite aircraft and why?
Aesthetically, I love the Boeing 777-300ER, MD-11, Airbus A340-600, and A220. I also like the A380 for being one of the most comfortable aircraft to fly in. But if I had to choose just ONE, I'd go with the 777.
What is your industry focus?
I primarily focus on commercial aviation in India, Southeast Asia, and, increasingly, the Middle East. I also love covering new routes and aircraft deliveries.
