I really, really enjoyed reading this from start to end, as of Chapter 4. I love the shifting perspective of both Gray and Wayne, and the art style really grabbed at me. The art style is so unique amongst other VNs and the black-and-white aesthetic gives it that vibe that it's in the past and makes the reader imagine and wonder on their own how the town and characters feel and look even more so. I also like how the use of the black and white elicits a sense of "halves", light and dark, and other similar themes. I really enjoyed Gray's character development and I hope there's more to come in the future.

Read this in one go and that one scene really made me cry. The art for this VN is beautiful and the raw emotion packed into it and chapter 4 especially was a gutpunch. Gray and Wayne are fascinating characters and I really appreciate the perspective jumping that sometimes happens between them. Really makes it feel like this is both their story.

Thank you! Only a couple backgrounds are fully hand-drawn, the rest are drawn over and edited as to save time. I may look into doing all BG's personally when the story is finished but that is a lot of effort.

Griseus has choices with slight consequences and differences, but is overall linear. No specific routes or anything.

Reading this so far and I'm LOVING IT, your art is just amazing! Even making full drawings for minor moments, the care and effort you put into the drawings is easy to see; the art is spectacular! Thats why I ask, please add a gallery! I know you may think its not worth it because not many large CGs, but even being able to look at your portraits of Gray would make this so worth it, please consider!
I'm also loving the story but there's lots of unknown information thats kind of leaving me confused. Like I know Wanes past with Grey is hidden purposely, but what about Sara, we don't know anything about her relationship with Gray. Was she a girlfriend, best friend, or like a motherly caretaker of some sorts? Also when he forgets his keys he states he could walk over to Sarah's, who's an hour away, did they not share a house? Does she have 2 homes, and if they live in the countryside (in a town where most people know each other), how is anything an hour walk haha. And whats Greys job? maybe this is something thats left a secret but it feels like a plothole hes living without having to work, or moved to town without income but this could totally be explained later
Also what time period is this in? The ID card said 87 so im guessing 1900's or is this modern? And maybe even which country does this take place in? Im not sure if these are unintentionally left blank but please let us know! Especially with Sarah, the plots revenge feels a bit empty without knowing who she was to Grey, I think adding more to the prologue may be beneficial. (and something more minor) the transition from before and after the death is very sudden, not knowing the cause of death/ how the house got fixed feels a bit empty. Maybe an autopsy report, funeral, or even a "_ months later" would be nice
Oh and last thing, please add LGBT or Gay to the tags, you put romance but I had no idea if this was a gay novel till now which was one of the reasons I held off reading this. I really regret waiting this long cause Im loving it, very quick and easy addition. (also with how the plot is being set up, will this be nsfw?) I know this was all writing about things you should add but this is because I absolutely love everything already in the vn as well. Keep up the great work, cant wait till the next update!
Thank you for reading! I'll clear some things up for you but a majority of your questions will be revealed / are left vague on purpose.
The time period is the 1940's. It is in the setting of the countryside with a European and American mix of things, but the country in itself I've just left to interpretation since it doesn't matter a whole lot. And yes, a lot of info is hidden purposefully. We're jumping into Gray's shoes right before the main situation, and will mostly only absorb the info we are given.
Sara's relationship will be fully explained later, but I can give that she was basically Gray's best friend / a motherly-figure from what we have currently seen. She left Gray her old place, while she had her own separate place out of town. They don't share the place he lives in, she just comes to see him frequently.
Most things will be explained, but a lot is meant to be vague / a mystery. This is also my first time officially writing something so I do apologize if I have some slight plot holes or have some things left with a bad taste, I leave things empty on purpose but am trying to avoid having a it seem "bland", haha. I am always going back and updating some writing.
I have updated the tags again for gay and LGBT, thank you for reminding me. When the game was de-listed I messed with the tags and forgot to put em back in. Yes this will be NSFW, as of Chapter 4, with a SFW setting included.
You will see what has been added and adjusted in the next update if you check out the post when it is out (there is a lot.). Thank you for the suggestions, I take them positively and try to put in what I can by myself. A gallery is not included in the update, but I will certainly get to work on one since I've been thinking of it.

I'm currently on my small break I take between my builds and am currently working on small projects related to Griseus. Realistically you can expect another chapter around ~3 months after the last, but this can vary. Each chapter has gotten slightly longer than the last, but they're each relatively short compared to most VN's.
First your work is amazing and one of the best vn i have ever read. and i have read at least 80 second 3 months are nothing compared other vn i have read and its been 2 years since last update and quality and story weren't as good as yours so you are truly impressive thats all. hope for the best and i can't wait for the next chapter

There are sudden sound effects and imagery, which could make you jump! While it is not directly meant to be horror, some parts are rather scary/unsettling. Over time with development and writing changes, I have tagged it horror to match the atmosphere better.

Yes sorry! When I built the android version I noticed this, I didn't know it went back to the default. If you reinstall the android version it should be the correct textbox now, but it is still a little cut off. I will work making it fit the resolution for phone when I get time but it is a lot better for now.

A few months ago, when I was playing the prologue, I was already obsessed with this game. Today, after finishing the first chapter, I'm even more excited about it. What attracts me the most is the art style. This black and white hand-drawn style really makes me fall in love with it. The two CGs of Grey and Malik, as well as Grey and Wayne, I would call them masterpieces. They are definitely among my favorite CGs in FVN. Besides, the plot is also good, and the emotional rendering is very well done. I'm really looking forward to the subsequent plot development. Also, I'm curious if this story is linear. I really like Malik and wonder if he will have more chances to interact with Grey or even take things further?
