Interested in finding out what’s going on at Rural Studio? While we host events throughout the year, the highlights are our Halloween Review and Pumpkin Carve, Christmas Soup Roast, and our early summer Graduation, the Pig Roast. These events give us a chance to celebrate our students’ work, from building chairs, to building houses, and to hear from some of our graduates, our expert consultants, and our many annual visitors. And don’t miss our faculty when they travel around the globe presenting our building projects and research!

CLT Core House Ribbon Cutting
Our 5th-year students, Connor, Paris, Peter, and Sarah, completed the design and build of the CLT Core House, a new home for Loretta and her daughter.

2026 Pig Roast
The annual Pig Roast & Valediction Ceremony is a two-day celebration. Friday evening is reserved for PechaKucha-style lectures with more than 8 Rural Studio alumni! On Saturday, visit each current project site, hear from each student team, and afterwards, enjoy a catfish and BBQ dinner, followed by a one-of-a-kind valediction ceremony.
