⚠️Hey Newgrounds! Important post⚠️

As many of you know, I LOVE remixing video game soundtracks, and I love it when other artists do so as well!

HOWEVER, there is a snake in the garden. There's a new "VGM Remixer" known as "Discetto" https://www.youtube.com/@DiscettoVGM, and he's using AI to generate mass video game remixes & thumbnail art to spew out on YouTube. He's trying to take credit for these "songs" as his own, all while encouraging his audience to become a channel member and pay him for doing this. It's false advertising, lazy, and willfully deceitful.

Check out all his thumbnails, the date of his first remix, and how everything sounds so "perfect." No reasonable human being could pump out +120 remixes in 2 months, let alone 4 individual songs in a single day. On top of that, I ran his songs through several AI-checkers, and they came back positive, with the AI known as "Riffusion" being the most likely model. (Fits, since most of his songs involve either a guitar or banjo.)

I believe this is an extremely unethical use of AI, and it's especially disrespectful to the video game remix scene. I want to draw as much attention to this as possible in hopes of minimizing the number of people he's deceiving; lots of people believe his songs are legitimate remixes. So, if you can, leave a quick comment calling him out, and engage/like/interact with other comments that call him out.

Ultimately, I can't stop someone from using AI to generate music, but I will do my best to stop a good community from falling for lies.

UPDATE: He's blocked the words "AI" from his comments, so if you say something, you can use cyrillics like "АI", "АІ" or "аi/аі"
