yeah most diseases are due to risk factors like poor diet, lack of exercise, smoking, drinking, and also environmental exposures. So while it is motivating to not care about how others view you, you need to watch out for preventable diseases like hypertension (and high BP), obesity, and heart disease. And having too much visceral fat places stress on all your organs, blood vessels, it is just not good. I’m not a doctor but my limited education has told me this much. You can appear healthy but still be at risk for one of these diseases, or even have one of them.

It’s not just this, we need to end all means of them living off borrowed debt. If you own that much money, there is no reason to be borrowing anything from anyone you have more money than

43·3 days agoComparing learning methods and then associating their benefits with the technology feels… fallacious.
For this reason I actually recommend a cheap Android tablet for digital note taking since it is well worth the price. I used to carry paper with me, but having the ability to quickly review notes across several classes (lectures and books) is a game changer. Need to know what was discussed last week? What you took on a topic? It’s very cumbersome with paper.
I feel like ‘technology’ is different when you actually own the tech you’re given. When you can do things with it. Not when it’s a digital casino in your pocket controlled by big corporations.

I learned how to touch type in grade school, but quickly forgot after that. It’s just not that ergonomic to keep your hands in that position. However, it did give me the necessary memory of where all the keys are. My hands can magnetically reach each key without a lot of difficulty. I could type pretty quickly if I wanted to but I’m usually limited by my speed of thought and usually make quite a few typing mistakes.

this should show that car based societies are kinda f***… cannot think of a solution beyond just more cars. And who profits? Car companies, still. It’s an inefficient and anti-social mode of transportation… takes up so much space (roads, parking, highways), energy (fuel, charging), and money (road repairs, endless expansion to pay for it, car insurance, car repairs). It causes harm to thousands of people a year and kills many, results in sedentary lifestyles, and results in spread out towns and local economies. Plus zoning laws are currently fucked.
