Through the PKTrains program, Public Knowledge helps train diverse advocates that will make a difference in the future of public policymaking. The more diversity we have in rooms where people make decisions, the more inclusive our laws and regulations are in meeting the needs of all parts of our society. As part of our efforts to merge our training skills with our inclusivity initiatives, we created the Privileged Conversations career breakfast series.
The series provides an opportunity for the next generation of tech policy experts and public interest advocates to gain exposure to potential career paths. We want to ensure the future of tech policy reflects the diversity of voices and experiences in our society. At these Friday morning breakfasts, participants can expect to:
- Discuss careers in tech policy with established experts
- Learn how to get started on their career paths
- Gain a greater understanding of the policy topics at the forefront
Privileged Conversations is a monthly discussion series created to support students and recent graduates of color in learning about tech policy, public interest careers, and the broader community shaping this work. We welcome everyone to attend and engage. Learn more about our featured speakers below.
