of the estimated maximum extend of the Iron Cycle.
You need an operational hypercore to jump away from here.
Intermediate tasks:
- get&start the hypercore (hc-YY-MM-DD.tar.bz2)
- start a tor daemon
- contact the outpost pod [Sun, UTC 18-20]
- configure a tor-service (check MY_README)
- set up an url1 ([r][h])
- send a peer request to user1

Removed Post Release: Beyond the Iron Cycle reason: this *might* just be your shell scripts and alpine binaries, but it would be too much work to be sure. a tarball of binaries on a limewire.com (lmao) is just too sus to encourage n00bs to run from /c/linux, sorry. i suggest you use a git host like codeberg, and separate your own code from 3rd party deps for auditability. also auto-update mechanism is effectively a RCE vector so even if there is no malware in *this* tarball you might still deliver it later...

Removed Comment GOOD GOD, the number of people getting downvoted in this thread that know WTF they are talking about IS INSANE.
This question is a bad question by somebody who is new to this ecosystem, and clearly doesn't understand how the community, development, or code works.
The people in here who are pointing this out are being brigaded by other commentors who have zero idea about how any of the licensing or code management works as well.
You can't have a corporate "takeover" of something which is code-complete, and already out in the world. There is a fundamental misunderstanding over what licensing protections are designed to do as well.

Removed Comment You're a mess. Appealing to experience doesn't work when you demonstrably have no idea what you're talking about.
I'm criticizing your reasoning for not using Wayland. You claimed there were tons of issues, it was unpolished, etc. But when pressed, all you could do was point to GNOME. You couldn't even define the problem until someone told you the term fractional scaling.
Then you told us in your own words that you wanted to stick with "XFCE" instead of "Wayland". The former is a DE. The latter is a series of protocols acting as a compositor. Why would you compare them? Nobody who actually understands these technologies would compare them. It's nonsensical. You meant to say X11, not XFCE.
That leads me to the reason for my vigor: you're making shit up to justify your stubbornness. Which doesn't need justifying. Just say you're stubborn without all the bullshit and you won't look so silly. by chloroken @lemmy.ml reason: Rule 2

Removed Comment Really? I'm a person living halfway around the world from Europe, no Germans nor Jews here in any significant numbers. But really? So Nazis polluted the swastika and now all final solutions too?
I checked Wikipedia and there's a copy of a Nazi document with not a lick of English on it. So "Final solution" is a translated phrase. Can we change it to "Hitler's genocial thoughts" instead? We get to keep "Final solution" rather than letting the Nazis keep everything they touch, including the English translation of such a common and neutral concept. by Integrate777 @discuss.online reason: lemmy.ml rule 1, trolling
2 months ago mod
Removed Comment _Final solution_ is more useful to the public as a reference to the Holocaust rather than as a generic term. It's better as a means to indicate a train of thought to be avoided, or an obvious wrong (or at least immoral) answer to a problem that might come up if the situation is left to fester long enough that responders get desperate.
I think of supervillain plots based on situations where the villain has a point, but invents a solution that involves the massacre of a lot of people. Heros have the double responsibility of stopping the villain and addressing the problem in a more measured way... or should. In the MCU, the problem is often left without consideration. by Uriel238 [all pronouns] @lemmy.blahaj.zone reason: lemmy.ml rule 1, https://xcancel.com/dril/status/831805955402776576

-completely garbage dpkg based package manager that makes everything harder than it needs to be

The problem with DEI policies, often, is not that you hire non-white people but that you are somewhat *forced* to hire non-white people, even if a white person is a better fit for a position, so you can just reach some sort of quota, irregarless of the merit.

Removed Comment Fedora is a solid option as it uses IBus by default and ships the ibus-hangul package in its repositories. The KDE Plasma spin provides a Windows‑style taskbar and a very configurable input‑method switcher. To setup the keyboard in KDE, just run:
sudo dnf install ibus-hangul
Then open System Settings → Input Devices → Keyboard → Layouts.
Click Add → Korean (Hangul).
You can then set the shortcut (e.g., Ctrl + Space or Alt + Shift) under Advanced → Switching Policy.
Plasma’s Keyboard Layout widget sits nicely on the panel, letting you toggle with a click—very similar to the Windows language bar.
All in all, switching between English and Hangul is straightforward on most modern Linux distributions – you just need the right input‑method framework and a little configuration. You can also do similar setups with Ubuntu/Mint or openSUSE as well as HamoniKR. by соисüѕѕэd @lemmy.zip reason: Rule 4 - ai
