You don’t say you’re washing your car panels with a pressure washer when you say washing your car. People know you’re also not doing the inside as well. So your argument is plain wrong. If you’re doing it with a hose, there’s no better term. But now that I think about it, I wouldn't say I washed my patio if all I did was hose it down. Sorry a normal comment is such a trigger for you since you think the right reply is a patronizing rant over something so stupid. People when they say “yard work” that means they have a lawn, that’s the only context that’s ever used, if you have plants, you say you’re gardening instead.
