Not anymore than anyone else. I guess that answers my question since they were trying to say they'd wither away and die without them. Not that they would hate life and end it out of misery. They very clearly pointed to the idea of bodily failure from medical complications. It is a reason why many talk about it that way, these people were being way more literal when they talk about dropping dead. I have gotten my bone density checked and they said it seems like I'm doing fine in that area. That was about a year ago. I definitely know my hormone levels are very low and I'm probably pushing my luck not taking any. Though I'm not really fond of the options available to me (don't desire masculinization or feminization) and I'm also in an uncomfortable spot since I had a very unpleasant reaction when I was younger to Testosterone which made me feel so dizzy, nauseous, and sick that I felt like I was dying.

Hormones like insulin? Yeah, you need a those. Sex hormones like testosterone or estrogen? Having lower levels is less optimal, and like you said, can lead to things like osteoporosis (long term problems) . The reason you might’ve seen transsexuals talking about sex hormones this way is because they see them as lifesaving care. Physically, would they wither away and die without them? Not anymore than anyone else. I’d consult a doctor if you want your hormones or bone density checked.
