From what I’ve heard, there are two arguments conservatives use here: - Normal people paying for trans surgeries (aka them being covered by free medcare). I’m sure you can imagine why it would upset some people. - And schools pushing kids to be trans _is_ somewhat a thing. Kids, especially teenagers, are particularly malleable. Now I am not trans now, far from it, but in the mental state I was in high school, I fully believe they could have concinced me to come out as a woman. As long as it’s just that, fine, but where the argument becomes heated is when trans surgeries come into play. Many people believe they are being done too hastily, and I’m inclined to agree. Let the kid grow up a bit, if he wants to wear a dress then so be it, but give him a few years before even considering surgery, and then maybe have him talk to a doctor or therapist beforehand.
