Removed Comment > undefined> but just due to almost everyone, especially in professional spaces, using systemd, but those packages are very rare. I was expecting a bit higher critical ability here than the average neo-con sys-admin wanna-be on a distro forum. The reason those large western enterprise systems are based on systemd is not because people like me or you working on IT made a decision based on technical specs and merit, but because some huge consulting company sold them systems, servers, accounting software they can audit remotely, .etc. etc. Many of these are eithe IBM consulting directly or a subcontractor of IBM like RH used to be. The reason THEY peak their own is because it was designed to lower the cost of expert admins and have some kid hit a reset button and the entire system self-configures again, who cares what the problem was. Yes, gentoo used to be a line of defense for sanity, they sold out. by iriyan@lemmygrad.ml
