Less than 24 hours after announcing a new song, “Patient Zero,” Taylor Swift is announcing a new album. Well, an “encore” to be exact: The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore—not to be confused with The Life of a Showgirl + Acoustic Collection, The Life of a Showgirl: So Glamorous Cabaret Version, and The Life of a Showgirl: So Punk on the Internet Version—includes four new songs from Swift’s 2025 studio album. You can find updated artwork and the full tracklist below. Encore drops this Friday, September 25.
“About a year ago, you guys did a truly unfathomable thing. Something that completely blew my mind…,” Swift wrote in a statement. “You gave The Life of a Showgirl the biggest first week for an album in history. I took a trip to Sweden to celebrate with Max and Shellback, my two collaborators on this album. Really we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in, but there was a studio there and we did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs. I hope you love them, because they were born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance for and celebration of the album we made.”
Swift released Showgirl, her 15th No. 1 album, last October. This year, she was inducted into both the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the National Recording Registry, and premiered the original song “I Knew It, I Knew You” for Toy Story 5. Swift will receive the inaugural “Artist Director Honors” at this Sunday’s VMAs.
