If you proudly list "SOLID principles" on your Go 8resume - we won't work together. Go is not Java. It doesn't need inheritance. It doesn't need "architectural purity". It doesn't need interfaces for testing. Go is about clarity, not ceremony. Concrete types, not abstract hierarchies. Working code, not theoretical elegance. SOLID is cargo cult. And trying to apply it to Go is like bringing a katana to a boxing match - wrong weapon, wrong context. This is not a debate just a different philosophy.

My mind just start having an illusion that I have mastered the language. And The language that don't have pointers I humbly don't consider them trustworthy. That's why I have started loving golang over js. I am not blaming javascript for being single threaded and pointerless. But it's damn easy.... Thoughts?

In my own company, I wouldn't hire anyone who likes: - Node.js or JavaScript/Typescript on the backend - ORMS - Temporal - Lombok - MongoDB - Branching strategies - Working alone with headphones on - Non-latest versions of anything - Setters and mutable types - Story points - Scrum or SAFe - Annotations - Tasks for testing or refactoring - Individual accountability - Code ownership - Design or architecture reviews - Golang outside of infrastructure Liking any of these indicates a belief system I don't agree with, so I'd spare both me and them the pain of working together.

In a later run, which I referenced in another post, I did identify two such awards. That discrepancy is a matter of sampling size, not an issue with the query itself. I'll now attempt a full run, which should capture the awards you found.

Every programming problem I have, when I track it down to it's source, seems to originate with C/C++. It wasn't till a few years ago that I realized how seriously everything I do somehow, some way, has C/C++ as a foundation. Basically every zero-day exploit in my cyber security class is because of something stupid in C/C++. And it goes well beyond security, the more I dive into C++ the more terrible stuff I find. When I found out even Rust needed the clib, it was like seeing an iron-clad fortress only to look closer and see it was being held up by sticks, ducktape, and prayers.

I can't wait to try out the groundbreaking but still traditional and comfortable C++ Profiles that are going to be "designed", "verified", and "implemented" in the span of about 3 years by the sharpest minds on the committee operating under the assumption that everybody is out to get them and that this feature is not only absolutely essential to the survival of C++ but at the same time the result of pointless bureaucracy cooked up by the perverted minds that seek to corrupt our way of life.
