Abstract

Dispositions are objects of suspicions. Besides the observable properties they exhibit, they are also full of promises and threats. This chapter focuses on that subject. The second section of this chapter presents five dispositions: fragility, belief, bravery, thermostats, and divisibility by 2. The third section considers some dispositional explanations. The fourth section contrasts efficacious properties from conditional analyses. The fifth section deals with the metaphysical question involved in dispositional properties. The sixth section examines the contrasts with dispositions.
