Abstract

This paper presents the idea that if we are on board with doxastic wronging, so should we be with perceptual wronging. First, I’ll show that one of the main cases used to motivate doxastic wronging can be adopted to motivate perceptual wronging. Second, I’ll show that another argument involving apologies used by doxastic wronging theorists is relevant to perceptual wronging. Finally, I’ll present the problem of control doxastic wronging theorists face, show how the problem also generalizes to perceptual wronging, and discuss how one way doxastic wronging theorists handle the problem can also be used to defend perceptual wronging.
