Abstract

Various forms of gender-based harassment and sexist Hate Speech can be observed on the Internet. Numerous studies evaluate this as an expression of a gendered struggle for speaking positions in digital public spaces. Research deals with the forms and backgrounds of Hate Speech, but also with possibilities of resistance. The fact that often a binary and dualistic gender image is reproduced shows the performative power of gender-related Hate Speech.
