Abstract

Two kinds of argument dominate anti-Simplicity literature: the Operator Argument and a cluster of related arguments based on saying, agreement, and retraction data. This chapter is devoted to disentangling and evaluating this second cluster of arguments. The chapter has two parts. Part One presents and evaluates two versions of a saying-based content diagnostic. Part Two is devoted to agreement-based diagnostics for shared content.
