Abstract
This exploratory study examines the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on occupational stress through a non-exhaustive literature review of publications from 2017 to 2025. Several stress factors have been identified: mental overload, fear of job loss, feelings of loss of control, invasion of privacy, concerns related to worker surveillance, the need to enhance human capabilities, insomnia, loneliness, and the decline of certain human cognitive abilities. To address these challenges, prevention strategies have been identified, including AI literacy programs, appropriate regulations, the integration of ethical principles, promoting AI acceptance, strategic recommendations, consideration of the human aspect, and strengthening research. These findings highlight the importance of a balanced and proactive approach to reducing the negative impacts of AI on workers while maximizing its benefits.
