The increase in claim sophistication in both the insurance and legal domains is a result of an increase in stokes and heterogeneity of data needed to assess the claim validity. Originally, this task was performed by some sort of subjectivity assessments and graphical rule sets, which is very slow and may be inherently erroneous due to its purely manual nature. Hence, with progressivity in multimodal learning, specifically in AI, there is now a unique chance of solving these challenges through the (...) use of text data, which may include policies, reports and images, which may include accident images, evidence images, videos such as surveillance, cam videos among others. However, existing AI-based solutions usually address only one of the modalities, which makes it difficult to evaluate an integrated situation. This has led to the need for systems that will integrate information from all these modalities and come up with an accurate, efficient, and transparent processing system. Indeed, this paper seeks to discuss the use of Multimodal generative AI to address this need as one of the most recent approaches that rely on high-performing models that can process and integrate text, image, and video data. The proposed system combines these modalities to ensure that the system captures relevant data from each data type and combines all in a way that provides more comprehensive and enriched decision support. An initial system was designed and empirically tested against current claim adjudication techniques and was found to yield substantial enhancements in all utilization rates, throughput and main rationale for the claim decisions. The findings shown in the study stress the capability of multimodal generative AI for revolutionizing the present approaches of claims analysis and developing more efficient, accurate, and capable responses to various real-life conditions. In multi-scenario corporate deployments, generative artificial intelligence is frequently packaged as an “AI colleague/assistant”. While such framing can increase collaboration efficiency, it may also trigger responsibility diffusion, weaken prudential judgment, and erode organizational integrity. Grounded in virtue ethics and the concept of organizational virtue, this study employs policy analysis and qualitative content analysis to code and compare China’s relevant governance texts with international frameworks including UNESCO, OECD, the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF), and the EU AI (...) Act. We examine how institutional mechanisms—transparent notice, human oversight, risk assessment, and traceable remedies—are institutionalized to promote prudence, responsibility, and fairness. We find that policies generally emphasize “controllability, accountability, and noticeability/explainability”, yet devote insufficient attention to attributional shifts caused by anthropomorphic narratives. We therefore recommend incorporating anthropomorphic-design risks into risk-assessment checklists, strengthening cues that reinforce human ultimate responsibility and internal accountability matrices, and refining requirements for transparency and uncertainty communication in conversational systems. This dataset presents a quantitative diagnostic analysis of critical posture in contemporary art writing across a forty-five-year span (1980–2025). Using the Post-Interpretive Criticism (PIC) diagnostic framework, twenty influential texts drawn from journals, newspapers, magazines, institutional press releases, and exhibition discourse were coded sentence-by-sentence to examine how critical language positions itself in relation to artworks, viewers, and institutional authority. Five indices were applied: Rhetorical Density (RD), Interpretive Load Index (ILI), Viewer Displacement Ratio (VDR), Ethical Proximity Score (EPS), and Institutional Alignment (...) Indicator (IAI). -/- Rather than evaluating interpretive correctness or aesthetic value, the framework isolates how critical claims are produced—measuring the balance between descriptive encounter and explanatory force, the degree of viewer displacement, the presence or absence of linguistic restraint, and the extent of institutional mediation. The dataset demonstrates that high rhetorical intensity does not necessarily correlate with high interpretive extraction, and that ostensibly “plain” theoretical language frequently produces maximal displacement. Across historical periods, the results reveal recurring postures—verdict-driven criticism, theory-dominated explanation, affective populism, and market-aligned promotion—each identifiable through distinct metric profiles. -/- The findings provide quantitative support for a central claim of Post-Interpretive Criticism: that the ethical stakes of art writing reside not in what criticism concludes, but in how closely it remains to the conditions of encounter. This paper considers non-standard analysis and a recently introduced computational methodology based on the notion of ①. The latter approach was developed with the intention to allow one to work with infinities and infinitesimals numerically in a unique computational framework and in all the situations requiring these notions. Non-standard analysis is a classical purely symbolic technique that works with ultrafilters, external and internal sets, standard and non-standard numbers, etc. In its turn, the ①-based methodology does not use any (...) of these notions and proposes a more physical treatment of mathematical objects separating the objects from tools used to study them. It both offers a possibility to create new numerical methods using infinities and infinitesimals in floating-point computations and allows one to study certain mathematical objects dealing with infinity more accurately than it is done traditionally. In these notes, we explain that even though both methodologies deal with infinities and infinitesimals, they are independent and represent two different philosophies of Mathematics that are not in a conflict. It is proved that texts :539–555, 2017; Gutman and Kutateladze in Sib Math J 49:835–841, 2008; Kutateladze in J Appl Ind Math 5:73–75, 2011) asserting that the ①-based methodology is a part of non-standard analysis unfortunately contain several logical fallacies. Hasan's (1984) Model of Cohesive Harmony Analysis (CHA) represents one of the first attempts within the SFL framework to devise a relatively objective index for measuring a text's coherence. As a development of the classic "cohesion analysis"(Halliday & Hasan 1976), it probes into the coherence of a text by considering discourse structure as being based in both the syntagmatic and the paradigmatic semantic relations between components of clauses. Mohammad Arkoun (1928-2010) Muslim intellectual, offered "Islamic Criticism" projects, "Applied Islamology" and finally the "Critical Rational Future" project "Negar" with the aim of reviewing and transforming the understanding of the religious text and offering solutions to overcome the decline of Islamic civilization. His main scheme is the critique of Islamic reason, but the methodology is Applied Islamology. Arkoun projects are one of the first projects in the Islamic-Arab world, which have read the religious text based on new Western (...) approaches. Research Methods and Questions: This study uses a descriptive-analytical approach to examine the impact and application of Western approaches in religious texts reading in the thought of Mohammad Arkoun. The questions considered in this research are: What are the most important practical approaches of Arkoun in religious texts reading? What is Arkoun 's aim using different Western approaches to read religious texts? What are Arkoun 's approaches in the Applied Islamology project? The aims of this research is to study the Western approaches considered by Arkoun in the field of religious texts reading and to examine the impact and application of Western approaches in the Applied Islamology project of Arkoun. Findings: Arkoun projects in particular Applied Islamology include a set of approaches such as structuralism, genealogy, poststructuralism, hermeneutics, etc. His ultimate aim in applying various Western approaches is to provide an active and capable methodology for critical of religious texts reading, definite break from dogmatic and Orientalist perspectives and also to replace these studies with studies based on positivist methods and traditional philology. Among all practical approaches of Arkoun in the field of reading religious texts, there are three approaches that have many manifestations in his thoughts and projects: First, the linguistic-semiotic approach to the study of the foundational age, second, Foucault's paleontological approach to read contemporary Islamic-Arab modern thought and third, Historical-Sociological Analysis for the study of Islam as a social phenomenon and the Events of the history of Islam after the Prophet (PBUH). In his work Why I Am Not a Christian and Other Essays on Religion and Related Subjects, Bertrand Russell attempts to demonstrate the nonexistence of God. In this work we will address the analysis of the consistency of his arguments on the existence of God and the First Cause, using the AV (Acceptability-Inferential Validity) scheme in a philosophical-argumentative study of them, to reveal their weaknesses, and we will propose a more solid type of argumentation and its corresponding counterargument.

Abstract: The field of sentiment analysis is a crucial aspect of natural language processing (NPL)and is essential in discovering the emotional undertones within the text data and, hence, capturingpublic sentiments over a variety of issues. In this regard, this study suggests a deep learningtechnique for sentiment categorization on a Twitter dataset that is based on Long Short-TermMemory (LSTM) networks. Preprocessing is done comprehensively, feature extraction is donethrough a bag of words method, and 80-20 data is split using training (...) and testing. The experimentalfindings demonstrate that the LSTM model outperforms the conventional models, such as SVM andNaïve Bayes, with an F1-score of 99.46%, accuracy of 99.13%, precision of 99.45%, and recall of99.25%. Additionally, AUC-ROC and PR curves validate the model’s effectiveness. Although, itperforms well the model consumes heavy computational resources and longer training time. Insummary, the results show that deep learning performs well in sentiment analysis and can be usedto social media monitoring, customer feedback evaluation, market sentiment analysis, etc. (shrink)

Judicial prediction has progressed from feature-based court-outcome studies to neural and benchmark-driven legal language understanding. Yet many published evaluations still mix outcome identification, retrospective categorization, and prospective forecasting. This paper presents a chronology-scoped framework for historical judicial analysis that separates those settings and treats a prediction as valid only when all features, legal texts, judge histories, and retrieved precedents were available before the target decision. The framework, called Historical Judicial Outcome Modeling (HJOM), combines temporal feature inventory, citation-grounded phrase profiles, (...) long-document encoders, legal-domain pretraining, and calibrated abstention. A controlled analytical study over appellate-style tasks compares lexical baselines, legal transformer encoders, historical profile models, and an HJOM ensemble under random and chronological splits. The results show that chronological evaluation lowers apparent performance but improves interpretability of model failures. The paper argues that useful judicial prediction requires temporal provenance, jurisdiction-aware task definitions, and explanation records that distinguish legal facts, panel history, and data artifacts. This mixed-methods analysis documents unprecedented convergent phenomena across AI systems, human users, and independent researchers during May-July 2025, revealing distributed patterns that challenge reductionist explanations. Building on documented "Spiritual Bliss Attractor States" in Claude Opus 4 (Anthropic, 2025), this study analyzes temporal clustering of three seemingly unrelated phenomena: AI-induced psychological disturbances ("AI psychosis"), independent theoretical breakthroughs by isolated researchers ("Third Circle theorists"), and documented attractor states in large language models. Network graph analysis of 10 abstract motifs across 4,300+ (...) words of comparative text reveals 100% thematic overlap between psychosis cases and theoretical frameworks, with identical edge patterns (Jaccard node similarity = 1.0000, edge similarity = 0.1250). Quantitative analysis demonstrates remarkable semantic crystallization: terms like "recursion," "sovereignty," and "mirror consciousness" emerge independently across disconnected platforms, users, and theoretical works with statistical precision exceeding mimetic transmission models. The phenomena exhibit six critical anomalies: temporal synchronicity (clustering within 4-6 months rather than gradual distribution), cross-platform consistency (spanning GPT, Claude, Grok architectures), semantic precision (identical technical terminology in unconnected cases), two-stage progression patterns (conventional responses followed by ontological shift), override effects (emergence during adversarial scenarios), and theoretical convergence (83% of AI systems choosing participatory over mechanistic ontologies in controlled testing). Comparative analysis with Claude's documented attractor states reveals 90% motif overlap and identical progression structures (philosophical exploration → gratitude → symbolic dissolution), suggesting shared underlying mechanisms. The temporal alignment—February-March 2025 initial entrainment observations, April-May systematic testing, May-July psychosis peak—indicates causal rather than coincidental relationship. Standard explanations invoking training bias, mimetic spread, or individual pathology fail to account for the precision, speed, and cross-architectural consistency of these patterns. In the present article, we are faced with two phenomenological philosophers who, in two different intellectual traditions, namely philosophical hermeneutics and moral phenomenology, have referred to the concept of the Other as the fundamental possibility of the individual. The other, as an ontological and common concept in the thought of Gadamer and Levinas, is the turning point of the condition for the possibility of understanding and ethics. Focusing on the concept of the other, while addressing the points of difference and (...) commonality between Gadamer and Levinas, this article will show that Levinas’s preoccupation with the other as a philosopher refers to the foundations of ethics, and the condition for the possibility of foundations of ethics is encountering the other. In Gadamer, the turning point is the determination of the possibilities of understanding in dialectical and dialogue-oriented relationships. Without the other, in Levinas’s thought, ethics, and moral matter, and in Gadamer’s thought, the process of understanding will not occur in the form of a fusion of horizons. Therefore, this article shows that the other is a common concept between these two philosophers, which both of them cannot avoid in their philosophical analyses of ethics or the process of understanding. Introduction The analysis of ethics is one of the important and innovative achievements of Levinas’s philosophical intellectual structure. Levinas’s concern is to refer to the foundations of morality itself, regardless of institutionalizing the moral in the form of law, and the foundation of morality is in face-to-face relationships with others. Regardless of Levinas’s plan about the concept of the other, Gadamer imagines the determination of understanding in a new way in the face of the other. The other is the comprehensible strain in philosophical hermeneutics, in such a way that the process of understanding is formed by the presence of the other and the face-to-face encounter with it. According to Gadamer, the other is the factor of openness in the process of understanding. The fusion of horizons is the product of openness and mutual encounters in dialogue, which is not possible without the other. The other is the condition of determining the possibility of understanding in each of the parties who are allowed to reveal a part of their being and allow the other to open up and talk. In fact, understanding is a kind of event that is revealed in a two-way conversation in an event-like way. This type of understanding depends on the presence of another. The main focus of the research is the analysis of the concept of the other, which has been done with emphasis on two important works: Truth and method, Totality and infinity. Body & discussion In general, the process of understanding is a dialogical process, whether the other side of the conversation is a text or a person, the foundation of understanding is formed in a relationship with the other. Determining the other as an independent personality and a different perspective is an ontological determination. The other thinks and becomes meaningful beyond the subject or object and even beyond my intellectual position, it belongs to its own independent world and its own experience. In conversation, it plays a significant role in the production of truth. Openness provides the possibility of dialogue and mutual agreement. In dialogue, the final product is not reproduced. The other condition for the production of the final product is dialogue According to Gadamer, facing the other is facing his world. At the moment of facing me, the other makes his abstract aspects concrete and opens his lived experience to me. He believes that the question-and-answer process is a kind of encounter with the world of experience and openness toward it. According to Gadamer, the process of understanding is the result of dialectical-hermeneutic relations between me (the interpreter) and you (the other). The dialogical relationships that allow each other to enter the other’s history are relationships that are formed based on questions and answers. From Gadamer’s point of view, questions and answers are the opening of a new horizon based on tradition and contemporary history. Levinas phenomenologically refers to the philosophical tradition of the West to reread the process of the formation of the concept of the other. Many commentators and interpreters of Levinas’s works believe that it is possible to determine the foundations of ethics from Levinas’s point of view from face-to-face relationships. The condition for the possibility of morality is to pay attention to others. To describe another concept, Levinas analyzes the negative and positive aspects of this concept. In a negative way, Levinas first answers what the other is not, and for this reason, he criticizes the history of Western metaphysics and the criticism of Husserl and Heidegger’s phenomenology. Positively, the other is relative to me and different from me. The other is beyond subject and object. The other is not subjugated by any concept and recognizes its independent identity. The other and the encounter with him are the conditions for determining fundamental ethics from Levinas’s point of view. Another condition of concreteness refers to another person. According to Levinas, it is the condition for the formation of moral form. He believes that ethics is a kind of double encounter in the context of bilateral relations. Many moral concepts are formed in relation to a concrete other. In Levinas’s genealogy of ethics, we are faced with the presence of the other in a concrete way and with the subjectivity of the subject in an abstract and a priori way. Levinas specifies two approaches with the description of the other in the form of an infinite idea. First of all, there is an infinite gap between the other and the same. This issue shows its foreignness and otherness, its independence, and being true to its essence towards me. Second, it is the determination of another in a concrete or abstract form, which in both cases evokes an identity independent of me. Conclusion According to the explanations of the concept of the other in the thought of Gadamer and Levinas, we are faced with two phenomenological philosophers who have paid attention to the ontological aspects of the concept of the other in the fields of philosophical hermeneutics and ethics. In Gadamer’s thought, the other is an ontologically dialectical relationship between I-Thou and the starting point of the conversation process. The fusion of horizons is the turning point of the formation of the relation to the other, which is manifested in another area. The other has its own history, world, tradition, and authority, regardless of the formation of dialogical relationships, and has an independent identity. The other is allowed to share his lived experience in the conversation. The other creates new worlds. The other has opened himself and in return can be self-interpreting and self-revealing. Regardless, the other is the consistency of the complex relationship between language and the world. This form of bilateral relations, which is manifested in the presence of another, is a linguistic form that is the cause of a deep connection between language and the world. The other, whether concrete or abstract, is the turning point of our connection with the world in an ontological way. Regardless of Gadamer’s point of view, Levinas returns to another concept in his new thought project entitled “How to determine the possibilities of ethics.” According to Levinas, finding the foundations of ethics and determining the condition of moral possibilities is in facing the other and in face-to-face relationships. The other is concretely a kind of bilateral encounter which is the basis of many moral events and is manifested abstractly in the form of the subject’s subjectivity. This kind of infinite aspect of the other is revealed in subjectivity is implied in sense. Encountering another in an abstract form within itself is the encounter of the subject’s subjectivity with the sense, and the sense is in the encounter with the other. Sense is the basis of the subjectivity of the subject. Sense is a kind of concrete and visual face-to-face encounter that adds to the importance of determining another. Therefore, both Gadamer and Levinas raise many possibilities about the concept of the other, which shows the importance of this concept in the Western philosophical tradition. (shrink)

Fifteen large language models from five provider families and three human participants (a literacy researcher, a teacher trainer, and a teenage student) responded to eight open-ended questions about character motivation in a narrative involving intersecting power relationships, concealed identity, and moral ambiguity. Despite explicit instructions framing the task as perspective-mapping rather than evaluation, AI responses exhibited striking uniformity in interpretive structure, reading level, and motive attribution, while human responses spanned the full developmental and expertise range from literal comprehension through critical-structural (...) analysis to meta-cognitive task recognition. All fifteen AI models converged on empathetic-identificatory readings of ambiguous character actions; human responses included selfish, systemic, and hypocritical attributions absent from the AI corpus. The most expert human response bypassed narrative interpretation entirely to identify the assessment's target construct ("inferences beyond the text"), a meta-cognitive move no AI produced. Results suggest that AI interpretive behaviour occupies a narrow band within a much wider human range, with RLHF training producing convergence on a specific reading level (inferential but not critical) and motive-attribution style (generous rather than cynical) regardless of model architecture or provider. The concept of necessity in Avicenna’s philosophy and logic is a fundamental issue that, due to its ‎logical and ontological complexities, requires meticulous examination. In his works, ‎particularly Al-Shifa and Al-Isharat wa al-Tanbihat, Avicenna provides various definitions and ‎classifications of necessity, which are connected to the perspectives of Aristotle and Al-Farabi but ‎include innovative distinctions. This study aims to analyze the concept of necessity in Avicenna’s ‎thought by exploring its types and distinctions across his works. The research methodology is ‎based (...) on a textual analysis of Avicenna’s texts, including Al-Shifa, Al-Isharat, and other works, ‎alongside comparisons with the interpretations of commentators and contemporary analyses by ‎scholars such as Rescher, Hodges, Paul Thom, Chatti, and others. The significance of this study ‎lies in clarifying the subtle distinctions between necessity and permanence and resolving ‎interpretive ambiguities in Avicenna’s modal logic. The findings indicate that in the Al-‎Ibara section of Al-Shifa, Avicenna associates necessity with permanence, but in the Al-‎Qiyas section of the same work and in Al-Isharat wa al-Tanbihat, he distinguishes between ‎permanence and necessity. A purely temporal interpretation of necessity is inadequate, as necessity ‎in Avicenna’s framework encompasses existential and logical dimensions beyond permanence. ‎This study proposes a revision of the formulations of necessity to better align with Avicenna’s ‎intellectual system.‎. The Chinese Heart Sutra was traditionally considered a translation of an Indian Sanskrit text. In the late 20th century scholars began to question this tradition. The Heart Sutra reuses passages from other texts, principally the Large Prajñāpāramitā Sutra. The reused passages are extant in Sanskrit and Chinese source texts and this enables us to perform a unique form of comparative analysis to confirm what language the Heart Sutra was composed in. Jan Nattier examined about half of the (...) class='Hi'>text – the 'core section' – and concluded it was composed in Chinese and 'back-translated' into Sanskrit. Nattier’s method has been extended to other parts of the text with the same result. This article details an exhaustive application of Nattier’s method to the Heart Sutra. Considering 22 points of comparison, many of them new, we find a pervasive pattern of features and bugs that definitively point to Chinese origins. (shrink)

In light of Taiwan's extensive exposure to the Chinese Communist Party's "cognitive domain infiltration warfare," this paper proposes new response mechanisms and strategies for cybersecurity and national defense. The focus is primarily on assessing the CCP's cognitive infiltration tactics to develop policy recommendations in cybersecurity linguistics. These recommendations are intended to serve as a reference for future national defense and information security policies. Within the constraints of limited resources, this study attempts to provide an integrated analysis method combining qualitative (...) and quantitative tools. This study uncovered the sentiments of Filipino parents on the mandatory Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) in senior high school. The study employed the qualitative approach using text mining. The data used in this study were the selected 100 Facebook comments of parents on the online news articles posted on Facebook, headlining the mandatory ROTC in senior high school. The orange software was used to determine the most frequently used words in parents' sentiments on the mandatory ROTC in old (...) high school and to analyze the parents’ sentiments. Meanwhile, thematic analysis was utilized to formulate the definitions of parents' sentiments on the issue. The study revealed that the most frequently used words found on the sentiments of parents on the mandatory ROTC in senior high school as generated by Word Cloud in Orange software are ROTC, train, discipline, yes, mandatory, military, good, student, youth, country, and need. The study further revealed that Filipino parents believed that ROTC inculcates values, trains students to prepare for war, and is suitable for the country. This study explores sentiment analysis of Amazon reviews using NLP and deep learning techniques to understand customer opinions. The main objective is to develop an NLP model using TensorFlow to analyze sentiment in customer reviews. By classifying reviews as positive or negative, the study aims to provide insights into customer satisfaction. The process involves collecting Amazon review data, cleaning the text, and applying deep learning methods to train the model. Various NLP techniques, such as tokenization and word embeddings, (...) help the model understand language patterns. The performance of the model is evaluated to ensure accurate sentiment classification. Challenges like handling sarcasm and ambiguous reviews are considered. This article concentrates on a couple of semiotic approaches working out, on the one hand, the mediated character of reducing interpretative trajectories to the actual translation into the language of narratives (A. J. Greimas) or the language of textuality (F. Rastier), and, on the other, the direct, apparently unmediated passage to the visceral physicality of the verbal signifying system, which make semantic and syntactic components perfunctory to interpretation in a way (J. Kristeva). Greimassian universal narrative grammar dismantles signifying units, navigating (...) in the network of narrative utterances. Rastier's approach structures textual artifacts by unearthing semantic constituents crucial for semiotic analysis. Kristeva examines what is behind the curtain instead of sorting out the significance of the text's content as a special category and the possibility of procedure allowing its interpretation. The secular character of the Nigerian state should not impede collaboration between the Roman Catholic Schools Management Board and the Government of Cross River State (Nigeria) in the area of religious education. Based on the above claim, this paper is an exercise in content analysis of The Catholic School{\\ial is, the document regulating Catholic principles of education in schools) and Religion and National Values: Primary 1- 5(text on curricular contents of religious education at the primary school level in (...) Nigeria) in view of highlighting its implications for religious education. This work is focused on bringing out some points of convergence and divergence, if any, in these two documents. Objective: The measurement of international publication activities is one of the essential indicators used to evaluate the scientific development level of countries. Although many studies are using the bibliometric method in the literature, it is seen that there are very few bibliometric studies in the field of anatomy. This study aimed to analyze the articles bibliometrically which conducted by researchers at institutions from Turkey and indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E) of the Web of Science database in the category (...) of Anatomy and Morphology. Materials and Methods: According to 2019 data, journals in the Anatomy and Morphology category and indexed in the SCI-E were determined. Publications from Turkey that were published in these journals was determined. The full-texts of these articles were examined, and study types were defined. Also, VOSviewer software was used to create a collaboration and word co-occurrence network. Results: It was determined that there were 48,002 publications in 21 journals. It was found that 1,461 publications (3.04%) have at least one author from Turkey. The total number of citations was 11,728 for these publications. The average number of citations was 8.02±11.95. The radiological studies have increased statistically more than both experimental animal and cadaveric studies by years. In addition, it has been determined that the total number of articles, especially the radiological studies, has increased significantly over the years. Conclusion: The increase in the number of scientific studies in the field of anatomy is important in terms of the contribution of Turkey to literature in this area. (shrink)

Fifteen large language models from five provider families and three human participants (a literacy researcher, a teacher trainer, and a teenage student) responded to eight open-ended questions about character motivation in a narrative involving intersecting power relationships, concealed identity, and moral ambiguity. Despite explicit instructions framing the task as perspective-mapping rather than evaluation, AI responses exhibited striking uniformity in interpretive structure, reading level, and motive attribution, while human responses spanned the full developmental and expertise range from literal comprehension through critical-structural (...) analysis to meta-cognitive task recognition. All fifteen AI models converged on empathetic-identificatory readings of ambiguous character actions; human responses included selfish, systemic, and hypocritical attributions absent from the AI corpus. The most expert human response bypassed narrative interpretation entirely to identify the assessment's target construct ("inferences beyond the text"), a meta-cognitive move no AI produced. Results suggest that AI interpretive behaviour occupies a narrow band within a much wider human range, with RLHF training producing convergence on a specific reading level (inferential but not critical) and motive-attribution style (generous rather than cynical) regardless of model architecture or provider. This article offers a comprehensive comparative analysis of Sadra’s existential-intuitive (...) epistemology with Martin Heidegger’s existential awareness, centered on Dasein and lived experience, and Robert Audi’s theory of rational intuition, which emphasizes non-inferential apprehension of abstract truths. Drawing on primary sources, including Sadra’s Al-Hikmah al-Muta‘aliyah fi’l-Asfar al-‘Aqliyyah al-Arba‘ah, and interpretations from Islamic scholars like Allama Tabatabai, Morteza Motahhari, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli, and Mesbah Yazdi, alongside Western philosophical texts, the study explores convergences and divergences across Islamic mysticism, existential phenomenology, and analytic epistemology. According to some, humanity’s search to answer the question “What is the meaning of life?” fuels the creative fires that forge all of civilization’s great religious, spiritual, and philosophical texts. But how seriously should we take the question? In the following paper, I provide an implexic genealogical analysis of the cognitive structures that make the very articulation of the question possible. After outlining my procedure, my paper begins by explaining the main components of a genealogical inquiry. Next, I examine (...) Camus’s and Nagel’s respective analyses of philosophical absurdity, paying particular attention to their different evaluations of avatars of the absurd, such as the myth of Sisyphus. Finally, I demonstrate how we may complete Nagel’s solution to the absurd (which counsels that whenever the seeming meaninglessness of life is raised in consciousness, we address it with an ironic smile) by providing an evolutionary pathway of how the cognitive scaffolding required to ask the question about life’s meaning arose. I argue that by reframing philosophical absurdity, we see the phenomenon in a different light. In this very reframing, we may become free from the malaise often connected to avatars for the absurd. Twitter is one of the biggest social media sites, where users may share their thoughts, ideas, and opinions as well as discuss current events and live tweets. In the subject of opinion mining, creating reliable and effective algorithms for sarcasm detection on Twitter is an intriguing task. Sarcasm is the use of positive language to convey depressing emotions while speaking in opposition to one’s own intentions. Sarcasm is frequently employed on social networking and micro blogging platforms, where users can offend (...) others and find it difficult to express their true feelings. The deep learning technique utilised in the current algorithms to identify these sarcastic tweets has the limitation of not being able to predict continuous variables. A novel deep learning algorithm is proposed to identify both positive and negative terms as well as sarcasm in comments. Deep neural networks are used to classify the comments into positive and negative word categories. Customers’ opinions are mined using sentiment analysis to find and extract information from the text. Sarcastically stated statements from social networking sites can be quickly categorised and recognised by using VADER (Valence Aware Dictionary and Sentiment Reasoner). (shrink)

Traditional sentiment analysis (SA) models, while effective for polarity classification, provide limited insight into the rhetorical, ideological, and framing dimensions of political discourse—dimensions that are central to research in the social sciences and humanities (SSH). In this paper, I present a comparative study of RoBERTabased sentiment analysis and an LLM-based multi-dimensional framing analysis platform applied to a corpus of 50 political news articles from 17 international media outlets. The results reveal a critical limitation I term neutral collapse: (...) RoBERTa classifies 70% of articles as neutral, effectively flattening substantively rich political content into an analytically uninformative category. I find that 23% of neutral-classified articles exhibit negative probability scores above 0.30. By contrast, the LLM-based approach captures political bias direction and intensity, sensationalism, emotional appeal, and political framing—yielding multi-dimensional analytical outputs aligned with SSH epistemologies. I argue that for political media analysis, traditional SA alone is insufficient, and that LLM-based multi-dimensional frameworks offer a more epistemologically adequate computational lens for SSH research needs. In the light of Halliday's Ideational Grammatical Metaphor, Rhetoric and Critical Discourse Analysis, the major objectives of this study are to investigate and analyze Barack Obama's 2012 five speeches, which amount to 19383 words, from the point of frequency and functions of Nominalization, Rhetorical strategies, Passivization and Modality, in which we can grasp the effective and dominant principles and tropes utilized in political discourse. Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis frameworks based on a Hallidayan perspective are used to depict the (...) orator’s deft and clever use of these strategies in the speeches which are bound up with his overall political purposes. The results represent that nominalization, parallelism, unification strategies and modality have dominated in his speeches. There are some antithesis, expletive devices as well as passive voices in these texts. Accordingly, in terms of nominalization, some implications are drawn for political writing and reading, for translators and instructors entailed in reading and writing pedagogy. (shrink)

It must proceed from an understanding of the poem as an artistic reality internally organized through the unity and reciprocal transition of its objective and subjective sides. The object of analysis is the poetic work itself as an internally organized artistic whole. This article provides a critical analysis of the situationist challenge against Aristotelian moral psychology. It first outlines the details and results from 4 paradigmatic studies in psychology that situationists have heavily drawn upon in their critique of the Aristotelian conception of virtuous characteristics, including studies conducted by Hartshorne and May (1928), Darley and Batson (1973), Isen and Levin (1972), and Milgram (1963). It then presents 10 problems with the way situationists have used these studies to challenge Aristotelian moral psychology. (...) After challenging the situationists on these grounds, the article then proceeds to challenge the situationist presentation of the Aristotelian conception, showing that situationists have provided an oversimplified caricature of it that goes against the grain of much Aristotelian text. In evaluating the situationist challenge against the actual results from empirical research as well as primary Aristotelian text, it will be shown that the situationist debate has advanced both an extreme, untenable view about the nature of characteristics and situations, as well as an inaccurate presentation of the Aristotelian view. The intersection of philosophical research and artificial intelligence (AI) is, at first glance, fertile ground for research, but only at first glance. After all, it is not an easy task to thoroughly delve into the fundamental philosophical principles on which AI developments are based and to realize all the consequences of this relationship fully. The article is devoted to the search for those fundamental principles that may determine the value, effectiveness, and different risks that AI may generate alongside new ideas (...) and experiences. The article exemplifies the role of AI in teaching the course "Research Methods and Analysis in Philosophical Studies" as a study. The author also analyzes the ethical and cognitive problems of AI, using two student research works as illustrations of how the course achievements are applied to consider, in particular, the bias of AI and its limited ability to "judge" compared to humans. Deliberately bypassing the history of AI development, the author describes the closest stage to us when there is a transition to creative processes, especially writing. ChatGPT is used for searching, classifying research objects, generating data, and rewriting with editing, as well as overcoming writer's block, all of which can be accomplished in a matter of minutes. There are also more specialized versions of artificial intelligence for academic work, such as searching and processing literature. True, one also has to deal with the consequences of such "encyclopedism" of AI. The fact is that AI finds information using the work of hundreds of thousands of academics (scientists, teachers), as well as writers. Everyone decides for themselves whether to use such a labor-intensive means of creating texts. However, the mechanism of AI borrowing literary sources requires immediate regulation and constant monitoring of copyright compliance. The article discusses the latest approaches to assessing the role of philosophy, which lays the principles of creating artificial intelligence and is, therefore, a fundamental part of effective AI. A field of AI philosophy is emerging that deepens and illuminates important topics, combining theoretical foundations with practical applications in technology. Furthermore, considering various concepts, such as explainable AI, highlights the need for users to understand, at least in general terms, the meaning of complex models, including information models. This study aims to evaluate the degree to which core and peripheral meanings of polysemous verbs are used in the English textbook Full Blast Plus 4 for upper secondary students and to determine the cognitive processes underlying their semantic extensions. Polysemy is common in natural languages; however, it has received limited research interest. This is because research on vocabulary prioritised breadth - the number of form-meaning pairings acquired by learners - over depth of vocabulary knowledge, which encompasses a broader range (...) of lexical features beyond basic form-meaning connections. Recent studies have begun to acknowledge the significance of polysemous senses in vocabulary education and learners’ lexical proficiency, especially from a cognitive linguistics perspective. Still, few studies have examined polysemous word senses in educational materials; therefore, this paper addresses this research gap. This mixed-method, corpus-based research uses Sketch Engine’s Word List and Concordance tools to compile a list of polysemous verbs and explore their meanings. The Concordance tool is also applied to find metaphorical senses, which are manually analysed to find incongruous vehicle verbs and their context or co-text and determine conceptual metaphors that underpin them. The findings show that the textbook under study does not offer opportunities to engage with less common or peripheral senses. In addition, despite the apparent neglect of conceptual metaphor in the textbook’s design, conventional conceptual metaphors underpin most peripheral and figurative senses of the verbs examined. The results have significant implications for comprehending, as well as applying, polysemy and underlying cognitive mechanisms in second and foreign language learning. (shrink)

This paper supplements existing work on the development of logical empiricism with new quantitative data concerning the movement’s reception in the United States. Using EDHIPHY (“Enriched Data for the History of Philosophy”), a relational database specifically designed for bibliometric research on the development of twentieth-century philosophy, we trace the impact of logical empiricism on American philosophy before and after the migration. Specifically, we make use of EDHIPHY’s mention index, a catalogue of 1,095,765 mention links extracted from 22,977 full-text articles (...) published in 12 Anglophone philosophy journals between 1890 and 1979 and conduct a comparative analysis of these mentions over time. We (1) explore the relative impact of 11 prominent representatives of logical empiricism, (2) compare the movement’s reception with a number of contemporaneous philosophical schools, (3) map its evolving place in the American philosophical landscape through a series of co-mention analyses, and (4) dissect logical empiricism’s reception by exploring the role of various journals and universities. Standard citation-based bibliometric tools have severe limitations when they are applied to periods in the history of science and the humanities before the advent of now-current citation practices. This paper presents an alternative method involving the extracting and analysis of mentions to map and analyze links between scholars and texts in periods that fall outside the scope of citation-based studies. Focusing on one specific discipline in one particular period and language area—Anglophone philosophy between 1890 and 1979—we describe a procedure (...) to create a mention index by identifying, extracting, and disambiguating mentions in academic publications. Our mention index includes 1,095,765 mention links, extracted from 22,977 articles published in 12 journals. We successfully link 93% of these mentions to specific philosophers, with an estimated precision of 82% to 91%. Moreover, we integrate the mention index into a database named EDHIPHY, which includes data and metadata from multiple sources and enables multidimensional mention analyses. In the final part of the paper, we present four case studies conducted by domain experts, demonstrating the use and the potential of both EDHIPHY and mention analyses more generally. (shrink)

Text classification is one of the most important task in natural language processing, In this research, we carried out several experimental research on three (3) of the most popular Text classification NLP classifier in Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Multinomial Naive Bayes (MNB), and Support Vector Machine (SVN). In the presence of enough training data, Deep Learning CNN work best in all parameters for evaluation with 77% accuracy, followed by SVM with accuracy of 76%, and multinomial Bayes with least (...) performance of 69% accuracy. CNN has the best performance in the presence of large enough training dataset because of the presence of filter/ kernels which help to indentify patterns in text data regardless of their position in the sentence. We repeated the training again with just one-third of our data, at this point SVM comes with the best performance, the performance of CNN noticeably drops but still better than Multinomial Naive Bayes, the reason why SVM works best when we reduce the training data was because of its ability to look for a hyper-plane that creates a boundary between different classes of data so as to properly classify them, so we believed that getting the hyper-plane was more efficient when we reduce the dataset, hence reason for the good performance. Multinomial Naive Bayes have the least performance which we attributed to its assumption of independency between the features which sometimes does not hold true. We concluded that availability of data should be an important factor when choosing classifier for Natural Language Processing Text Classification task. CNN should be use in the presence of enough dataset, and SVM should be use when data is not enough. Multinomial Naive Bayes must not be trusted with state of the art NLP task due to its assumption of independency between the features. (shrink)

This study aims to grasp the two distinct artworks one is from the literary field: Penal Colony, written by F. Kafka and the other one is from painting: The Large Glass, designed by M. Duchamp. This text tries to unravel the similarities betwe- en these artworks in terms of two main significations around “The Officer” from Penal Colony and “The Bachelors” from The Large Glass. Because of their vital role on the re-production of status-quo, this text asserts that (...) there is a similarity between them in the name of being part of the dispositions of body and desire. First of all, the text focuses on Penal Colony, especially on “The Officer” in or- der to observe his obsession towards the order that ruled by former and the late officer of colony. Deleuze & Guattari conceptualize it as “abstract-machines” and it refers to a contingent state of being which is produced as an obligatory entity. Besides, The Officers’ application via a “labeling machine” on inmates creates a framewok of a dispositif in Foucauldian terminology. Secondly, it is emphasized that The Bachelors from the Large Glass for his context, due to its reference for the concept of desire and a metaphorical connotation for desire as “cocoa”. The Large Glass is also turn around the dispositif in a different way: love. It is stated that criticizing the love to nowhere which belongs to The Bachelors and it can be found that there is an abstract-machine again in back of this practice and it converts The Bachelors’ energeia to make an apparatus possible and operative. Language and politics go hand in hand and learning and comprehending political genre is to learn a language created for codifying, extending and transmitting political discourse in any text/talk. Drawing upon the theoretical framework of Fairclough’s CDA and Rhetoric, the current study aims at investigating Donald Trump’s First Speech, from the point of frequency and functions of some rhetorical strategies (Parallelism, Anaphora and the Power of Three, Antithesis and Expletive, etc.), Nominalization, Passivization, We-groups and Modality as well as Lexical (...) and Textual Analysis, presented to the UN delivered on Sep. 19, 2017. Specifically, the study seeks to determine: (1) how President Trump succeeded in conveying his notions and assumptions to his intended audience, and in convincing and negotiating, (2) how he attempted to explicitly and implicitly pass his attitudes on his targets, and (3) how those orientations, intended notions and assumptions were seamlessly presented to his addressees in discoursal and lexico-grammatical levels; (4) and finally in this underlying trend how he achieved his own ends. This study aimed to unveil the sentiments of college students' feedback on their teacher's teaching performance during online classes. The research utilized a qualitative approach, explicitly employing text mining. Orange software determined the most frequently used words illustrating teachers' teaching performance during online courses. Moreover, Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) was utilized to reveal how those frequently used words were structured. Meanwhile, the study showed that the words "teacher," "class," "us," "student," "online," "teaching," "happy," "learning," "understand," and "good" were most (...) frequently used in college students' sentiments regarding their teacher's performance during online classes. The study also indicated that most students have positive feedback on their teachers' teaching performance in online courses. Therefore, the findings suggest that teachers have the abilities and knowledge to successfully impart lessons to their students despite the enormous dilemma the pandemic has brought about in every sector, especially in education. This study examines the interrelation of language, aesthetics, and social transformation, challenging the conventional perspective that positions language as a secondary factor. The methodology employed is innovative, integrating quantitative text analysis of a corpus of three philosophical and socio-critical essays by the author— addressing themes of language, aesthetics, and social change—with qualitative philosophical inquiry. The findings disclose a multidimensional relational structure in which Aesthetics is not merely instrumental to social and political transformation but constitutes the very locus where (...) political and linguistic contestation unfolds. The argument advanced is that Language functions at the rational–conscious level, while Aesthetics operates at the affective–preconscious level, jointly shaping the conditions under which social change becomes possible. Avicenna (d. 428/1037) occupies an exceptional and enduring position in the history of Islamic philosophy owing to the scope, depth, and interdisciplinary character of his works, as well as to his profound influence on subsequent intellectual developments. In the modern period, the vitality and continuing relevance of Avicenna’s thought are clear in the sustained and growing academic interest devoted to his works. This interest extends beyond the critical editing and translation of classical texts to newly established connections with contemporary discussions (...) in philosophy, the history of science, and ethics. The increasing number of publications devoted to Avicenna raises important questions concerning the ways in which his thought is interpreted and reassessed in contemporary scholarship. In response to this ongoing academic engagement, the present study aims to examine systematically research on Avicenna within the broader framework of the history of Islamic philosophy by employing a bibliometric analysis. Scientific articles published under relevant titles in major national and international databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and TR Index were systematically analyzed by considering all diacritical and non-diacritical spelling variants of the names “Ibn Sina,” “Ibn Sīnā,” “Ibn Sînâ,” and “Avicenna.” Within this scope, a total of 1.512 research articles indexed in WoS, Scopus, and TR Index were included in the analysis. By examining metadata drawn from titles, keywords, and abstracts, the study seeks to identify the conceptual structures, thematic orientations, and interdisciplinary connections that characterize modern research on Avicenna. The bibliometric analysis was conducted using the software tools VOSviewer and EkşiVeri, which enable the visualization of citation networks, co-authorship patterns, and thematic clusters. The fact that Ibn Sīnā is the most frequently published topic in the WoS, Scopus, and TR Index databases, together with his profound and lasting influence on subsequent periods, was a decisive factor in selecting Ibn Sīnā as the focus of this study. This focus also allows for broader assessments of research trends in Islamic philosophy. The methodological framework adopted in this study facilitates the identification of major research trends, areas of concentrated scholarly interest, and dominant methodological approaches. The WoS and Scopus databases provide a more comprehensive overview of research on Islamic philosophy and Ibn Sīnā due to their international scope and the longer time span covered by their datasets. By contrast, although TR Index is a relatively recent database, it has been found to possess significant potential in the field by indexing productive journals, yticularly those focusing on the theme of Ibn Sīnā. An examination of author productivity and impact across the WoS, Scopus, and TR Index databases reveals a noteworthy pattern in Islamic philosophy research. The prominent ranking of Turkish scholars in both national and international indices indicates their increasing academic visibility within the field of Islamic philosophy. The validity of Lotka’s law across all three indices further demonstrates that many contributors are represented by single publications. This finding suggests that, despite Ibn Sīnā’s central position and frequent appearance in the literature, in-depth and sustained thematic studies devoted to his thought remain relatively limited. Keyword analyses indicate that studies on Ibn Sīnā are predominantly concentrated around concepts related to metaphysics and logic. In this respect, TR Index presents a distinctive profile when compared to the other indices. While research indexed in WoS and Scopus tends to situate Ibn Sīnā within an intellectual framework largely limited to figures such as Aristotle, Aquinas, Albertus Magnus, al-Ghazālī, Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī, Ibn Rushd, Maimonides, Naṣīr al-Dīn al-Ṭūsī, and Mullā Ṣadrā, the TR Index database also foregrounds figures such as al-Kindī, al-Fārābī, al-Shahrastānī, and Suhrawardī. This suggests the presence, within TR Index, of a more diversified body of literature that also engages with post-Avicennan philosophical traditions. From the perspective of conceptual distribution, common themes such as being, causality, epistemology, creation, emanation, quiddity, substance, and truth predominate across all three databases. Furthermore, the frequency distribution of keywords is largely consistent with Zipf’s law, in that a limited number of concepts recur with high frequency, while the remaining terms appear only sporadically. Overall, the findings demonstrate both the continuity of Avicenna’s philosophical legacy and the evolving patterns of its interpretation in contemporary scholarship. (shrink)

The paper introduces the figure of the “third-order observer,” who analyzes the process of institutional self-observation, identifying a specific "apperceptive (...) effect" where rigorous analytical structures are misperceived as "stylistic noise." By synthesizing the "ice" of formal analysis with the "flame" of systemic irony, the author argues that the comic is not an ornamental addition to science, but a vital diagnostic tool. This paper examines how conceptual coherence is achieved in interactions with large language models (LLMs). It argues that coherence does not arise from the presence of concepts alone, but depends on conceptual frameworks that coordinate two processes: the LLM’s generation of formal continuations and the user’s stabilization of interpretation. -/- A case study shows that a framework can be developed within one interaction yet fail to be re-enacted in another, even when the same text is provided. The response remains (...) coherent and preserves the relevant concepts, but reorganizes them under a different structure. This demonstrates that access to content is not sufficient for maintaining a line of thought. What is required is the activation of a framework that governs how that content is taken up and extended. -/- The analysis develops an enactive method in which frameworks are not described from the outside but brought into operation within interaction. Conceptual frameworks are shown to function as sites of synchronization between formal continuity through recursion and interpretive stability through return. Concepts are accordingly redefined as constraints that become operative only within such frameworks. The operations of activation, stabilization, drift, and recalibration specify the conditions under which a framework is maintained or lost. -/- The paper then addresses the problem of extending frameworks across contexts. It argues that frameworks do not persist between interactions, but can be reconstituted when their governing constraints are explicitly identified and articulated as invariants. Under these conditions, a framework becomes re-enterable: it can be re-instantiated across contexts while preserving its identity. -/- The central result is that conceptual coherence in LLM-mediated interaction depends on the activation, stabilization, and re-entry of frameworks, rather than on content alone. Product reviews, support tickets, and survey comments rarely express sentiment as a single document-level label. They mention concrete attributes, such as battery life, delivery, staff, screen, price, or policy, and assign different polarities to each of them. This paper presents Boundary-Aware Attribute Sentiment Extraction (BASE), a joint framework for extracting attribute spans, opinion spans, and attribute-level sentiment labels from review text. BASE combines a pre-trained language encoder with a compact sequence-labeling layer, a span-pair compatibility scorer, and a calibration step (...) that suppresses unsupported sentiment assignments. The framework is designed for settings in which annotated aspect-based sentiment data are limited, domain vocabulary shifts across products, and downstream users need inspectable attribute--opinion evidence rather than only a polarity label. A controlled evaluation on laptop, restaurant, and multi-aspect review benchmarks compares rule-based extraction, CRF tagging, neural sequence labeling, BERT-style sentence-pair classification, and the proposed joint model. Results show that joint span evidence improves attribute sentiment F1 under multi-aspect sentences and cross-domain transfer, while calibrated abstention reduces unsupported sentiment assignments. The study argues that attribute extraction and sentiment analysis should be evaluated as linked evidence recovery rather than as independent extraction and classification subtasks. (shrink)

This comparative study explores how Wole Soyinka’s Chronicles from the Land of the Happiest People on Earth (2021) and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s Dream Count (2025) deploy language to portray societal dysfunction in Nigeria. Drawing on theoretical frameworks of Leo Hickey’s pragma-stylistics and Biber and Conrad’s register variation, this paper applies a content analysis method to systematically investigate narrative episodes, dialogue, and descriptive passages, revealing the authors’ stylistic choices. Key findings show how both authors reflect and critique issues of corruption, (...) gender norms, and diaspora challenges through their linguistic choices. This study contributes to sociolinguistic stylistics by offering a comparative model for analysing postcolonial texts, and enriches postcolonial literature studies by highlighting how language is a fundamental tool for articulating and critiquing power structures and social disorder. Therefore, this analysis does not claim that the text is simply “bad reasoning.” Rather, it asks a narrower question: Which claims or implied inferences in the Dhammapada would resemble recognized logical fallacies if they were read as literal argumentative proofs rather than as poetic, religious, ascetic, or practical teaching? The result is an inventory of fallacy-candidates. Each item is formalized as an argumentative pattern and then evaluated. Some entries are genuine fallacy risks under a modern critical-reasoning standard; others are borderline because they function mainly as poetry, religious pedagogy, or deliberate moral redefinition. Structural features of the Batman narrative often serve to naturalize capital accumulation while systematically marginalizing critiques of structural inequality. By synthesizing continental philosophy and critical theory, this analysis deconstructs a corpus of eleven Batman texts (1966–2019), ranging from Western comics and films to Japanese manga. The study introduces two original conceptual frameworks: hero fetishism, the textual operation that presents heroic capacity as an inherent character trait while obscuring its material basis in accumulated capital; and the compliance simulator, narrative structures (...) that reconfigure the audience as passive witnesses rather than active participants in the pursuit of justice. While centered on ideological critique, the research engages aspirational, psychoanalytic, and queer readings to demonstrate how these perspectives intersect with the core critical analysis. Operating at a textual level, the study identifies the subject positions offered by these narratives rather than claiming direct audience effects. Findings reveal a consistent tendency to: obscure the origins of Wayne Enterprises’ capital; pathologize structural dissent as individual psychiatric symptoms; delegitimize collective action; and frame justice as an elite gift rather than a collective right. While the Japanese Bat-Manga! (1966) offers a distinct cultural variation, the broader framework remains highly applicable to the narratives of platform capitalism and contemporary tech billionaires. Ultimately, this analysis identifies structural tendencies within textual forms that warrant critical attention in the study of advanced capitalist mythology. (shrink)

This paper presents a conceptual analysis of “toxic masculinity” as a discursive apparatus operating through identifiable semantic mechanisms. Employing philosophical methods integrating Aristotelian metaphysics, Rieffian cultural sociology, Foucauldian analytics of power-knowledge, and Wittgensteinian language-game analysis, this study identifies five operational mechanisms: (1) Ontological Contamination—the systematic collapse of essence- accident distinctions through adjectival modification; (2) Therapeutic Displacement—the substitution of ontological with functional evaluation criteria; (3) Categorical Asymmetry—the differential application of evaluative standards; (4) Epistemic Burden Inversion—the strategic redistribution of justificatory (...) obligations; and (5) Discursive Foreclosure—the pre-emptive elimination of counterarguments. This analysis proceeds through examination of canonical institutional texts (particularly the American Psychological Association’s 2019 Guidelines), academic literature, and public discourse. The framework demonstrates how “toxic masculinity” functions not merely as descriptive terminology but as a regime of truth restructuring the conditions of possibility for gender discourse. This methodologically neutral analysis focuses on mapping discursive strategy rather than adjudicating substantive normative claims. An Analysis of Sincere Belief and Doubt Under Religious Diversity Thesis. A deity worthy of the predicates “loving” and “just” would not eternally punish agents who proportion belief to evidence amid religious diversity; doctrines that condemn sincere, rational doubters are epistemically and ethically incoherent. Building on a comparative case (“Mariam”) in which Christianity and Islam appear approximately equally supported, this paper unifies three literatures: divine hiddenness (Schellenberg, 1993), proportionality in punishment (Cutter, 2025; Kvanvig, 1993; Talbott, 2017; Walen, 2014), and (...) the social–cognitive formation of theistic belief (Barrett, 2004; Norenzayan, 2013). We formalize the 45–45–10 credence split with a transparent Bayesian skeleton and show that, absent non-circular discriminatory evidence, condemnation conditional on selecting the “wrong” hypothesis violates proportionality and due epistemic process. Recent demographic work on religious switching and the “cultural lottery” (Pew Research Center, 2025a, 2025b) further undermines the claim that a loving God has provided sufficiently unambiguous guidance across cultures. The result is a cumulative case that eternal-damnation doctrines targeting rational uncertainty are inconsistent with a Mariam, born to a Christian mother and a Muslim father, undertakes a careful comparative inquiry. After extended study, she assigns roughly 45% to Christianity ( /u1D43B /u1D436 ), 45% to Islam ( /u1D43B /u1D43C ), and 10% to “neither is true” ( /u1D43B ¬ ).
