PDFsam Basic is an application intended to rearrange the pages in PDF files. This program has a nice and intuitive interface, which makes it appropriate for any kind of user.
The application is quite easy to use, particularly because it allows you to view the pages as thumbnails that you can drag to other positions within the document. Moreover, the tool allows other operations, such as splitting and merging PDFs. Furthermore, extracting a given page range and rotating pages is possible. Another mode to work with the program is by entering page numbers. The application has the advantage of leaving the original document intact, as all the changes you make are reflected only on a newly created file.
In fewer words, I don’t think PDFsam Basic will help you do everything you may need to do with PDF files. However, it’s a cost-effective alternative to other software, particularly if you don’t have a high budget.
Pros
- It’s easy to use
- It runs on any operating system
- It has a nice interface
- It’s an inexpensive alternative to other products
Cons
- It needs a Java machine to be installed on your computer
- It does only a fraction of what is possible with Adobe Acrobat
Installs a bunch of crap, including the enhanced version and shell extensions.
