Community hazardous fuels reduction reforestation requirements letter – Establishes the CHFR Program’s mandatory post harvest reforestation requirements for designated openings effective January 1, 2026.
• Attachment 1 – CHFR Strata Transition Table – Specifies mandatory CHFR post harvest strata transitions that direct required shifts from pre harvest stand types to CHFR provincial strata within designated zones.
• Attachment 2 – CHFR Reforestation Strategy Table – Defines zone specific CHFR reforestation strategies outlining required silviculture systems, seedling establishment parameters, and species composition targets.
• Attachment 3 – CHFR Reforestation Standard Interim Direction – Sets the CHFR Program’s provincial reforestation standards, including stocking thresholds, landbase designation codes, and performance criteria.
• Attachment 4 – CHFR Alberta Regeneration Information System Requirements – Establishes CHFR specific Alberta Regeneration Information System (ARIS) reporting requirements, including CHFR opening coding and boundary based segmentation for accurate tracking of regeneration outcomes
