Join us on DiscordAn academy is a simulated work environment where participants gain programming and soft skills by working on real projects in a team. It's more than just an online course - it's a combination of learning and real-world work environment simulation.
The academy is for people familiar with computers who have basic programming experience or want to gain it. The academy is also beneficial for:
The average academy duration is 2-4 months with an estimated daily workload of 2 hours. The duration may vary depending on the academy and your efficiency and commitment.
The programmer's work is a combination of individual and team work. nerds.family academies are designed to experience both of these forms of work. However, there are no group assignments.
The language of communication in the IT work environment is primarily English. In diverse teams, English is often the only common language. Therefore, nerds.family academies are conducted in English. This applies to all materials, tasks and hints. The application interface is also available only in English..
Of course! You will be able to share the application online right after the first sprint. Remember that during the academy, we don't learn front-end, so it's up to you what your application will look like.
The experience at the nerds.family academy is unique. The tasks are tailored to the individual needs, strengths and weaknesses of the participants to help them develop. During the academy, you build your own fully functional application - independently, but with the support of nerds.family at every step. Each decision you make about implementing a task and every line of code you write has a direct impact on what your next task will be. At the end of the academy, all participants will have the same application built, but their experiences and steps to get there will be unique.
