*Athlete’s age category is based on their age on the day of the event, June 5, 2026.
* Categories may be combined if there are not enough racers entered in a specific class. Additionally, large fields may be broken into smaller categories, if deemed necessary by race organizers.
Format & Seeding:
Qualifying round:
- Racers must complete one timed run down each side of the slalom track. Their time is then combined.
- Racers will be ranked by their fastest combined time.
- The fastest combined time will be the first (fastest) place qualifier.
- The fastest qualifier will be seeded against the slowest, the next fastest with the next slowest, etc.
- During qualifying, racers are not racing head-to-head against each other, only against the clock.
- The number of riders that will move on to the finals will be based on the total number of athletes registered in each category.
- In the event of a tie on total qualifying times, ties shall be broken at random for the higher seeded position. (coin flip, drawing lots)
Finals:
- Racers will line up according to their seeding order and will race head-to-head against their opponent. Each racer must complete a run on both sides of the track.
- The racer with the fastest combined time after runs on both sides of the track will be the winner of that round and move on to the next round. The slower racer will be eliminated.
- The winners of each bracket will then race against each other, and either move on or be eliminated in the same fashion until a winner is decided.
RULES:
Equipment:
- Front and rear brakes (required).
- Properly fitting bike helmet (required).
- Protective gear is recommended for all riders.
- 20″ BMX bikes will not be allowed.
- E-Bikes will not be allowed.
Starts:
The rider’s bicycle must be stationary and contacting the gate at the moment of the start. Failure to comply will be considered a false start.
Runs:
Racers must complete a run on each side of the track during qualifying and racing. Riders must pass through a series of gates alternating left and right as they make their way down the course. Racers must ride around (not over) each gate, with both tire tracks passing on the outside of the gate. Failure to go around the correct side of a gate will result in a penalty and shall be determined by gate judges located along the course, whose decision is final.
Penalties:
- Missing a gate
- False start
- Changing lanes
- Interfering with the other rider
- Not passing both wheels around a gate
- Missing a gate or not returning to course per the regulations
- Not finishing in possession of the bike

If any of these penalties are incurred during the qualifying round, it will result in a disqualification, and elimination from the competition.
