I’m Sera Dillon, founder of Medillon Studio — a surface pattern designer creating nostalgic, nature-inspired illustrations for thoughtfully made home and lifestyle products. Based in Auckland, New Zealand, I bring a considered and structured approach to every collection.
 
With both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Architecture, I approach pattern development with a strong understanding of balance, proportion, and composition. My architectural background informs the way I build repeats, scale motifs, and design artwork that translates seamlessly across products and materials.
 
Inspired by sun-faded gardens, vintage botanical studies, and the quiet beauty of everyday objects, my collections explore expressive florals and nature-led forms developed for textiles, tabletop, and lifestyle surfaces. Each design is created with versatility in mind — allowing for effortless adaptation across fabric, ceramics, wallpaper, and seasonal collections.
My work balances refinement with spontaneity, creating designs that feel curated yet lived-in.
I’m currently open to licensing partnerships and collaborative opportunities with home, lifestyle, and apparel brands.
