Chungking express

This is a wonderful, wonderful film. I think that everybody should go and watch it. Beyond that, there’s not much for me to say.

Hong Kong cinema always seems to have a particular camera look, warm and fuzzy. It’s really nice, and used to great effect here. The music is good and the plot (or plots) are interesting.

I like Faye Wong’s music, but i wasn’t sure she’d do quite as well as an actress, as too often seems to be the case with singers who move into film. But she was excellent, and her character was well played. Of course, the other actors were also great.
